Milford finished last season as the 2A State Runner-Up and is looking to make another trip to the Naval base stadium in December. The Millers lost some key players that really helped them get to the championship, players such as Tahseen Howard, Chris Bulter, Byron McCoy, and Desmond Sampson. Over the offseason, the Millers reloaded talent and are projected to have another big season.

[player_tooltip player_id='249146' first='Deshawn' last='Purdie']

Purdie is a highly anticipated transfer from Mt. St. Joseph. He is entering the season with an offer from Maryland and he's fresh off of winning MVP at the Ray Issac's QB Camp. Coach Issac is also one of the many Coaches that travels with FBU across the country and evaluates hundreds of athletes every year. On paper Purdie seems to be one heck of a QB for this specific offense but only time will tell. In Milford's scrimmage Purdie threw a couple TD's and showed some play making ability. At 6'4 215lbs Purdie is a prototype QB physically. With a number of weapons to distribute the ball to, it'll be fun to watch this Junior develop through the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='358183' first='Daysen' last='Shell']

Shell may be the most explosive player on this Milford roster. He's the fastest player on the field at all times waiting for a crease to break off a big play. During his track season last year, he clocked a 10.7s 100-meter dash, 22.1s 200-meter dash. Shell is heading into the season with 6 offers already from Duquesne, Umass, Toldeo, Fairmont State, Notre Dame College, and Old Dominion.

[player_tooltip player_id='247536' first='Sean' last='Williams']

Williams is projected to have a huge year this season. Williams is also a transfer from the MIAA's Mt St. Joseph where he split time with another back. Williams runs hard and make the best out of his runs scratching and clawing for every yard. Watching Williams at MSJ, he showed some glimpses of being a very well-rounded running back. I've witness him hurdle a few defenders, get skinny and make defenders miss in the hole, and is a good pass blocker. Williams is looking to touch the ball a lot more this season and I'm looking forward to it, he has gained some impressive footwork and elusiveness over this offseason. Willams may be that sleeper RB schools have been looking for.

[player_tooltip player_id='321344' first='Corey' last='Jones']

Jones is a familiar name in the public-school ranks, he's been putting on a show since last football season, through the summer, and now with his new team. Jones was a key playmaker for Perry Hall last year, repeatedly made "Wow" plays for Torrey Smiths Level82 7on7 team and had a handful of receptions and a TD in Milford's scrimmage last week. Expect Jones to keep this train moving and to pick up right where he left off.

https://twitter.com/Slatt410/status/1561241900954296321?s=20&t=DdK_drxzobkV6fi6hZsvKA

[player_tooltip player_id='276137' first='Marquis' last='Edmond II']

Edmond is a yet another transfer on this new face Miller offense. Edmond is coming off of a MIAA Championship with Concordia Prep where he played WR and some DB. Edmond is also a player we saw a lot of as a sophomore on the 7on7 circuit making big plays with Volt 7v7. In person Edmond passes the eye test at 6'2 and a built 190lbs. He uses his size and strength to his advantage when engaged with defenders or blockers on the perimeter. During the scrimmage Deuce had a TD, a couple receptions and showed some solid safety play in run game help. On his TD reception he caught a post and took it the distance after a broken tackle. With Deuce, playing more DB with the Millers it'll be interesting to see if he transitions to more of a safety or if he sticks with receiver in the long run, he has more than enough ability to play either.

[player_tooltip player_id='372392' first='Sean' last='Curtis']

Curtis is a young stud on this defensive line and backfield. Last season Curtis stood out as one of the most impressive 2025 recruits in the public-school ranks. He shows has size, power, athleticism and impressive ball skills when at tight end or catching out of the backfield. Curtis had some impressive sacks and TFL's during the scrimmage blowing his way through the line like a veteran defensive end. Curtis will play a big part on both sides of the ball this season, so we'll see a lot of this young prospect. Expect Sean to start the season performing at a high level like he left off last year in the championship with Milford. Curtis is just getting started, his recruiting should pick up fairly soon after this season maybe sooner if his performance is consistent.

https://twitter.com/Sean_M_Curtis/status/1563569851234275330?s=20&t=DdK_drxzobkV6fi6hZsvKA

[player_tooltip player_id='275966' first='Cameron' last='Jefferson']

Jefferson is a fairly new face that we saw compete at the IAA Showcase late this summer where he put on a show. Jefferson will be used on the defensive side of the ball causing havoc for QB's and receivers, he has ball skills just as good as a receiver, at the IAA showcase he exceled on his offensive reps as well as on defense. During the scrimmage Cam had 1 INT from the safety position. Jefferson will be an impact player for the millers on the defensive side of the ball. Look out during turnovers because he's dangerous with the ball in his hands.
