Cole West, LB- Foundation Academy
6’1 215lbs
West was a key part of a defense that helped lead Foundation Academy to the state playoffs in 2021. Last season he registered 86 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, two sacks and one int. He’s a very productive player that coaches should check out this season.
Strengths:
Tough gritty player that also plays offensive line
Does a good job sifting through traffic and gets to the ball
Plays downhill
Gunner Fodor, FS/LB- East Lake High
6’0 180lbs
Fodor is a name to remember in the Pasco County area. He transferred this off season to East Lake High from Palm Harbor University. Last season he tallied 85 tackles, six tackles for loss, and a sack. He also chipped in on the offensive side of the bar and rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns with 43 yards receiving. He’s an outstanding student with a 4.1 GPA.
Strengths:
Versatile player that can play multiple positions
Has speed (4.6 40) and does a good job tracking the ball through traffic
Shows good fluidity moving around in space
Malik Neely, LB- Englewood High
5’10 220lbs
Neely is a under the radar prospect out of Englewood that coaches need to check out this season. He was very good in 2021 registering 91 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and a sack. He’s also a very good student with a 3.4 GPA. I look for him to have a big season in 2022
Strengths:
Shows good timing to knife through blocks and get into the backfield
Acceleration and burst
Smart and agile
Bo Wargel, LB/ATH- Horizon High
5’11 180lbs
Wargel was outstanding for Horizon High in 2021. Last season he registered 83 tackles, an outstanding 23 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, 12 hurries, and 3 forced fumbles; while also chipping in on offense with 41 yards rushing and 26 yards receiving. He compiled all those stats while missing one game. He’s also an outstanding student with a 3.7 GPA.
Strengths:
Relentless competitor
Aggressive and will deliver big hits
Reads plays quickly and gets into the backfield
