Game Changing Kickers 2023

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kickers are a crucial piece to a football team but are often underrated. Last year in the NFL multiple games were decided by less than a touchdown and many of those were decided by field goals. A kicker is the reason the Bengals were able to play in the superbowl in 2022.. This just goes to show just how important a strong kicking game is for a team to be successful. Teams who want to be able to win close competitive games need a sure footed kicker who can give them the W when the time is needed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Bart Edmiston</strong>, Ocean Springs High School<br>Bart Edmiston displays excellent accuracy with each one of his kicks. Last season he was responsible for over 80 of his team's points. Whenever his number was called he was sure to deliver. In addition Bart's accuracy flourished from beyond the PAT line. Edmiston attempted 8 Field Goals and connected on all but one. What is more impressive is his range. Bart Edmiston was able to split the uprights from over 45 yards showcasing the strength of his kicking leg. If he can continue to be consistent hitting his target from all hashes and distances Bart will certainly be a great prospect for schools looking to add a steady kicker.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Gavin Waltman, </strong>Vancleave High School<br>Gavin Waltman is another great kicker. What is most impressive about him is how frequently he is called on to kick. His team scores often therefore Gavin has had many opportunities for PATs and Kickoffs. Waltman has been perfect from the extra point line and has converted on many field goal attempts including one from 32 yards out. If Gavin can continue to be this accurate and increase his range his prospect potential will greatly increase. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Rouston Relan, </strong>Oak Forest Academy<br>Rouston Relan has been a great asset to his team. The power that Rouston delivers with every kick is indeed noticeable. Multiple times this past season he kicked for touchbacks in addition to his perfect field goal kicking and near perfect PAT conversion rates. Rouston has not had many opportunities to showcase his kicking ability however, he was able to convert on a 45 yard field goal in 2021. Rouston has proven to be an exceptional kicker with an accurate leg. Therefore, he is a quality prospect with great upside.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
