[player_tooltip player_id='152617' first='Zach' last='Lutmer'] has already committed to the University of Iowa, but the Central Lyon senior has some big plans in store for this fall.

Lutmer is one of the top standouts set to compete in Class 2A, District 2 this season. He racked up over 30 touchdowns a year ago.

Here is a look at Lutmer and the others to keep an eye on from 2A, District 2.

[player_tooltip player_id='152617' first='Zach' last='Lutmer'] - Central Lyon - QB/S

As previously mentioned, no player might have meant more to his team last year than [player_tooltip player_id='152617' first='Zach' last='Lutmer']. He threw for over 1,000 yards, ran for over 1,200 and had 30 combined touchdowns. Add in a reception, 46.5 tackles, four interceptions and even punt return duties, and you can see why that is.

Lutmer is a complete athlete, and you can bet the University of Iowa will find a way to get him on the field as soon as possible, much like that of current Hawkeye and former prep standout Cooper DeJean.

[player_tooltip player_id='252222' first='Braeden' last='Bosma'] - Unity Christian

It was a trial-by-fire freshman campaign for [player_tooltip player_id='252222' first='Braeden' last='Bosma'] last year. He stepped right in and completed 54 percent of his passes for 1,162 yards with 13 touchdowns. Unity Christian finished with five wins and a spot in the playoffs thanks to his quick learning.

Now, a year wise, Bosma will be able to play with more confidence and more understanding of the playbook this fall. He will also have his leading running backs and top target back to work with.

Jude Moser - West Lyon - RB/LB

For years, West Lyon has continued to put out one of the top teams in the state. That includes excellent ground attacks, as Jude Moser was one of three players last year to rush for over 600 yards for the team.

Moser is the only one of the three returning, which should open the way for even more. He finished his junior campaign with 606 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging almost five yards per carry.

[player_tooltip player_id='152852' first='Jacob' last='Van Donge'] - Unity Christian

With one of the top quarterbacks in the district, it should come as no surprise Unity Christian has one of the top receivers. [player_tooltip player_id='152852' first='Jacob' last='Van Donge'] led the league with 34 catches, going for 510 yards and five touchdowns as a junior.

Van Donge comes into 2022 having plenty of reps with his quarterback, the aforementioned [player_tooltip player_id='252222' first='Braeden' last='Bosma'], which should help elevate him to the next level. He also was effective as a runner, racking up 269 yards and three scores while making 35 tackles and picking off three passes on defense.

Gable Van Beek - Central Lyon - S/LB

A beast on the defensive side of the ball, Gable Van Beek will be tough to contain once again this fall. Van Beek recorded 50.5 tackles with 3.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss last year.

He is a big, strong kid, checking in at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds. Van Beek is also athletic enough to slide in on offense, catching a 38-yard pass last year. He could be used more on that side of the ball due to graduation for Central Lyon.
