Final Score 45-24 Denver South

This match-up was expected to be an exciting one, and it did not disappoint. Skyline started with a long drive that mixed runs by Rahman Carson (2024 RB/DB) and passes from fifth-ranked QB [player_tooltip player_id='22741' first='Kaiden' last='Box'] (2023) to [player_tooltip player_id='62236' first='Logan' last='Miller'] (2023 WR), including a tunnel screen for a 12-yard touchdown. Skyline's defense was able to force a punt and give the ball back to the offense, who drove down the field and scored again on a 23-yard run by Carson bringing the score to 13-0 in favor of the Falcons.

After that, Denver South would go on to score 24 unanswered points. Third-ranked QB [player_tooltip player_id='150187' first='Joseph' last='Capra'] (2023) and second-ranked WR [player_tooltip player_id='242109' first='Rashad' last='Caldwell'] (2023) connected for an 11-yard touchdown to put the Ravens on the board. Capra would score the next two touchdowns on the ground, one of which was a QB scamper for more than 50 yards. Max Lindenbaum (2023 K) scored a field goal to extend South's lead to 11 points in the third quarter.

Box responded by leading the Falcons down the field and connecting with Miller, who made defenders miss on his way to the end zone during an impressive catch-and-run. Skyline converted a two-point conversion and cut the deficit to three points. The Falcons were able to score a game-tying field goal following a successful onside kick, but that would be the final score for Skyline of the night.

The Ravens responded by scoring on a wild pitch-and-catch between Capra and CJ Morm (2023 WR), then again with another touchdown reception by Caldwell. The night's final touchdown was another Capra run, ending the game with a 45-24 score in favor of the Ravens.

Longmont at Broomfield | Friday, August 26, 2022

Final Score 47-14 Broomfield

The Broomfield Eagles came into this game with a chip on their shoulder and played like they had something to prove to their opponent and the rest of the 4A classification. They took the lead early and never slowed down. Fourth-ranked QB [player_tooltip player_id='62228' first='Cole' last='LaCrue'] (2023 QB) is a spectacle on the gridiron. His electrifying scramble abilities and his pinpoint accuracy were nothing less than amazing. LaCrue connected with Kaelan Frey (2023 WR) in the endzone multiple times during the night. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='22784' first='Ryland' last='Boehmer'] (MLB/RB) reached the end zone multiple times and had a fantastic game on both sides of the ball. Fellow senior Luke Francis (RB) also scored two rushing touchdowns in the match.

Longmont opened with a solid offensive drive that allowed [player_tooltip player_id='274037' first='Cole' last='Gaddis'] (2024 RB/LB) and [player_tooltip player_id='240713' first='Kolby' last='Holmes'] (2025 QB) to showcase their running abilities. Unfortunately, they could not get much going because of a dominant Eagles defense, which became the story of the night for the Trojans. Their defense also showed real toughness throughout the game. They were able to apply pressure in the backfield at times and even recovered a fumble in the end zone for one of their two touchdowns of the night. Their only offensive score came on a pass connection between Holmes and Joey Foot (2025 WR) at the end of the game, resulting in a final score of 47-14 in favor of Broomfield.
