Week 1 started out very fun. Here are some of the top performances from last week. Every week we will check out the stats and see who balled out. Be sure to keep us informed and knowledgeable on who had incredible performances.

Xavier Hunt, QB, Louisville

Zay Hunt was 22/30 with 222 passing yards and 2TDs Friday night. The 2025 guy was very impressive in his first start against the number 8 team in the state. He is a guy that knows how to read defenses and he gets the ball out on time. Be sure that you keep up with this young man. His recruiting process will be an interesting one to see.

Key Jackson, WR, Louisville

Key had 9 catches for 94 yards Friday. He was a major factor in the Wildcat offense when they faced off against West Point. He is a utility guy that Louisville uses in so many different ways. With Louisville having a QB stepping up to the plate this year, he will be able to concentrate on being great at receiver.

[player_tooltip player_id='340746' first='JaBrysten' last='Abram'], WR, Senatobia

Had 5 catches for 164 yards with two touchdowns and a 54-yard touchdown pass in the Warriors 27-23 win over DeSoto Central. His route running gets him good separation. However, Friday he was doing a little bit of everything to help his team get a close victory over DeSoto Central. He makes plays when it is time to make plays. One of the most clutch players in the state.

Chance Barron, LB, Mendenhall

Had 19 tackles and two tackles for loss in the Tigers 21-16 loss to Columbia. It doesn't surprise the Mendenhall community that he came out the way he did. There has been a lot of talk about this young man and how he will do a great job this year. He has just set himself up to be on a great pace for at least 100 tackles this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='344083' first='SanFrisco' last='Magee'], WR, McComb

Had 14 receptions for 200 yards with two touchdowns in the Tigers 24-12 win over Jim Hill. Sanfrisco is a 'head ball' specialist. He gives his QB the comfort of just tossing the ball in the air to his side. Have no fear, Sanfrisco is here. This kid is truly amazing when it comes to making highlight plays. Those same plays are the reason he received a few offers after his sophomore season.

[player_tooltip player_id='340737' first='Kaleb' last='Raston'], LB, Moss Point

Had 11 tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a interception returned for a touchdown in the Tigers 23-14 loss to Pascagoula. He is going to be a major impact on their defense this year. He is a guy I advise everybody to keep up with.

[player_tooltip player_id='107295' first='Isaac' last='Smith'], RB/DB, Itawamba AHS

Had 14 carries for 121 yards with four touchdowns, 7 catches for 114 yards, 9 total tackles, two interceptions and a 90-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the Indians 35-28 win over Amory. Isaac is known to be a dawg on defense, but this past Friday he was doing it all.

[player_tooltip player_id='161267' first='Jalen' last='Washington'], RB, Houston

Had 171 yards rushing with four touchdowns, converted four two-point conversions and had a interception on defense in the Hilltoppers 38-16 win over Calhoun City. We all know this previous 2008 yard rusher can put up big time stats. That's just what he does.

Jamarcus Pittman, QB, McComb

Jamarcus had over 200 yards passing and over 40 yards rushing. He was slinging the rock to his receivers this past Friday night. He will have a big time passing year like he did as a sophomore.

Coby King, QB, Greene Co

Coby was 21/30 with 300 passing yards. He is a 2025 guy. That class is loaded with QBs and Coby has the chance to get right along with that mix. His name will continue to rise in the rankings of MS.
