Looking back on my notes from the 9man classification of MN prep football this season, I realized there was a plentiful amount of 2025 rising sophomore talent that missed the cut for the All-State features but still deserved some recognition and exposure. It’s never too early to identify talent, and with that in mind I’d like to introduce the Preseason 9man All-Sophomore Team! Especially since it’s the small school ranks, there isn’t enough names to fill an entire team, but I’m excited to introduce some possible future stars of the 9man ranks here with PRzMN in this offensive and defensive feature. Congratulations to the selections. Also, I added two stud 2026s at the bottom that I think you guys should know about. Enjoy!

2026s
Noah Asuma (Cherry) RB. 5’11, 170 lbs.
Rising freshman Noah Asuma comes from some strong genetics and is the younger brother of 2024 two-sport Cherry High School standout Isaac Asuma, who holds basketball offers from Xavier, Nebraska, Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, and UMD. Noah was a varsity contributor as an eighth grader for Cherry as a RB and put up some eye-popping numbers, finishing the season with 94 carries for 949 yards and 14 TDs. On tape, he does not look like an eighth grader, even against 9man competition, and was a patient runner with quickness, vision, and an extra gear once he sees daylight. He also has some solid contact balance, and overall there is just a ton to be excited about for the rising first year. I’m really excited about his future on the gridiron.
Kaaleem Reiland Kaaleem Reiland 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Kingsland | 2026 State MN (Kingsland) WR. 5’8, 170 lbs.
Kingsland has a loaded roster this coming fall and also have some rising talent to look forward to, the youngest of which comes in the form of 5’8, 170 pound offensive weapon Kaaleem Reiland Kaaleem Reiland 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Kingsland | 2026 State MN . As an eighth grader last season in Spring Valley, Reiland returned kicks and made plays out on the perimeter, out of the slot, and even from the backfield. He was dominant and productive in non-varsity action as well and is confident and elusive in space. The future is bright for the 2026er!
