There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Chris Stephenson- Cambridge Christian c/o 23
5’9 165lbs
Stephenson will look to guide Cambridge Christian back to its winning ways after a tough 2021 season. Last season he passed for 672 yards and 5 touchdowns; while rushing for 591 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground with one 100 yard rushing game. He’s a dual-threat prospect that can beat you with his arm or his legs, smart quarterback (4.4 GPA), does a good job buying time in the pocket and finding the open man, shows good vision/acceleration and natural feel when running the ball. Stephenson picked up his first division one offer in May from Stetson University.
Alvaunte Brown- Carrollwood Day c/o 24
6’1 170lbs
With last season starter transferring out, Brown will look to lead Carrollwood day in 2022 I expect Brown to be one of the surprise quarterbacks in the district with all the talent that returns around him. He was very impressive in the spring game spraying the ball all over the field, showing good touch and accuracy on second and third level throws. He’s a player to keep an eye on this season.
Jershaun Newton- Clearwater Central Catholic c/o 25
6’0 205lbs
Newton will look to lead perennial playoff contender Clearwater Central Catholic in 2022. He’s a player whose stock is on the rise and currently has several division one offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Illinois to name a few. Newton is a dual-threat quarterback that is very hard to defend because of his ability to run and pass. Possesses a short compact throwing motion and has the athleticism to maneuver around in the pocket and evade the rush, and find the open man, possesses good speed and acceleration running the ball. He will have the Marauders poised for a deep playoff run this season.
Jordan Magwood- Seffner Christian c/o 25
6’0 180lbs
Magwood is a talented dual-threat quarterback that will turn a lot of heads in 2022. He started last season as a freshman and led the Crusaders to a 6-5 record and a playoff berth. In 2021 he passed for 1,025 yards, completing 52% of his passes with 9 touchdowns through the air. He also rushed for 107 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Magwood displays the arm talent to zip the ball through tight windows, he plays with an attacking mindset, and shows athleticism to throw on the run with accuracy. He had a fantastic spring camp and offseason and picked up a division 1 offer from Georgia Southern in May.
