With the 2023 West Virgina rankings being updated, there is a TON of talent on this list especially with the top ten for the list. The talent from the class of 2023 is impressive from top to bottom that shows the state has top level talent.
Let’s take a deeper dive at the top ten rankings but at the 6 through 10 spots and see what these top athletes are all about!
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="380415" first="Braydin" last="Ward"] 6-7 230 Defensive Line Riverside High School: Ranked 6th</strong>
A tall athletic edge rusher that has the ability to gain ground with a quick first step off the line of scrimmage and attack the outside shoulder of the offensive tackle and create pressure on the opposing quarterback. He currently holds two offers from power 5 programs with them being from Marshall and West Virgina respectively.
<strong>Nathan Lhotsky 6-4 225 Tight End Robert C. Bryd High School: Ranked 7th </strong>
He moves well for his size at the tight end position, he understands how to create separation from coverage and knows the nuances of route running to create big play opportunities in the passing game. He shows to have good grip strength while making the tough contested catches and also helps in the run game which allows him to lock onto defenders and drive them out. He currently holds offers from Seton Hill, Glenville State, Walsh, and Tiffin University.

A tall athletic wide receiver that has strong hands to go along with consistent ball skills to make key plays throughout a game. He demonstrates the ability to transition in and out of breaks when running his routes which allows him to create separation from the defensive back.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="380419" first="Isaiah" last="Chapman"] 6-4 205 Defensive Line Hoover High School: Ranked 9th </strong>
The long athletic defensive lineman that has the length to create separation off the line of scrimmage which allows him to engage and disengage offensive lineman quickly. He has quick active hands to be disruptive, whether it’s against the run or rushing the opposing quarterback.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="380431" first="Kam" last="Shallis"] 5-11 205 Inside Linebacker Martinsburg High School: Ranked 10th</strong>
A physical instinctive linebacker that has the range and awareness to read and diagnosis plays quickly and effectively. He is stout against the run where he will be strong at the point of attack and attack the oncoming blocker to make key plays. He has offers from West Virgina, Presbyterian College so far throughout this recruiting cycle.
