Here are the top returning receivers in Single-A for the upcoming season…
Terrel Ashley – Crawford County
A dynamic two-way athlete who can make plays on both sides of the ball, Ashley is a true weapon in Single-A and one of the better receivers not only in the entire classification, but across Middle Georgia due to his impressive ball skills and elusiveness. He’s a promising safety prospect, but he also made a name for himself last year at wide receiver. He shows consistent hands as a pass catcher and knows how to zig-zag his way down the field for a big gain. The 6-foot-0 165-pounder can make defenders miss when he has the ball and he’s always a reliable option for the quarterback. He’s a playmaker in the screen game and shows good burst when getting upfield. As a receiver last year, Ashley caught 39 passes for 671 yards and two touchdowns. He’ll be one of the top receivers and defensive backs to know about south of Macon.
Jadarius Robinson – Greenville
A quick, explosive receiver from the small town of Greenville, Robinson was clearly one of the top athletes on the field at all times last year. A playmaker whenever he has the ball, Robinson is a game-changer as a returner due to his agility, burst, and above-average athleticism. He doesn’t play against great competition, so Robinson makes it look easy at times against smaller, single-A defenses. As someone who could make plays at any level in Georgia, Robinson knows how to break tackles with ease after the catch. He’s quick for his size, plays with balance, and he has soft, reliable hands. He’s an easy go-to option for Greenville and he’s clearly one of the best overall prospects in the region. As a junior last fall, Robinson flashed D1 talent, catching 38 passes for 686 yards and 8 touchdowns in 10 games.
Clinton Jackson Clinton Jackson 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB Schley County | 2023 State GA – Schley County
At No.133 in our rankings is a productive safety from small-town Ellaville. A fluid athlete who can make plays as both a receiver and a defensive back, Jackson shows great ball skills and reliable hands with the ball in the air. He may not have lit up the stat sheet defensively, mainly because he played both ways and opposing QBs feared throwing his way, but he still ended the season with 53 tackles and two INTs. He has plenty of size and length at 6-foot-2 175-pounds, so he’ll bring D1 length and athleticism to wherever he ends up. He closes on the ball in coverage, appears to be fundamentally sound, read the QB well, and again, knows how to make a play on the ball. He’s also a stout run defender who can come down into the box to help clog running lanes. His recruitment is starting to heat up, and he’s ranked as one of the top safety prospects currently in Middle Georgia.
Jalewis Solomon Jalewis Solomon 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Schley County | 2024 State GA – Schley County
A dynamic two-way athlete from small-town Schley County, Solomon is a South Georgia playmaker who totaled 989 receiving yards last year, making him the leading returning receiver in all of Single A, and he’s only going to be a junior this fall. The small-town player is a big-play waiting to happen at wideout with his 61 catches and 13 touchdowns last year. He’s incredible quick, agile, and changes directions with ease. Defensively, the 6-foot-1 180-pounder has been a lockdown defensive tack, making 22 total tackles and picking off five passes last fall. He’s an excellent defensive back, but his natural ball skills and ability to make plays down the field makes it likely he’ll end up at receiver at the next level. He’s one of the top 2024 receivers in the state, and that’s saying a lot since it’s a loaded group. Solomon already holds early offers from Georgia, Auburn, Michigan State, among others.
