Sioux Falls Jefferson – To put it simply, Sioux Falls Jefferson has an offense full of players that are ready to win. Taylen Ashley Taylen Ashley 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Sioux Falls Jefferson | 2023 State is leading the squad at QB as a mobile machine with a great arm on him. This past season he had over 1,800 yards tagged along with 15 passing TDs and 7 rushing TDs. Having a dual-threat quarterback like Ashley is exactly who you want behind center. Ashley is also surrounded by some great weapons in tightened Sam Siegfried Sam Siegfried 6'4" | 225 lbs | TE SF Jefferson | 2023 State and wide receiver Griffin Wilde Griffin Wilde 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR Sioux Falls Jefferson | 2023 State , both elite pass catchers for the offense. With that trio, it’s hard to no believe they will be any worse than SFJs 4-6 record last year. Ashley should see more wide-open looks from his senior pass-catching options, which open up the lane for his elite running attack. Jefferson with all its talent that it has should be competing for a top spot in a stacked AAA division with the likes of Brandon Valley, and Harrisburg.
11AA
Aberdeen Central – After being moved down the AA division this year, Aberdeen Central posted a 4-7 record in the regular season. In a stunning upset in the playoffs, the seven-seed AC beat the two-seed Brookings who were 7-3. The team seemed to have a form of swagger and confidence that they had seemed to be lacking before that win. Scott Svendsen came in as a first-year head coach and got a team that had struggled to even qualify to make the playoffs the past few years to a team upsetting one of the better teams the past few years. I do not see that letting up anytime soon with the influx of talent of tightened Brian Johnson Brian Johnson 6'2" | 240 lbs | DL Aberdeen Central | 2023 State and DB Aiden Heinemann being some mainstays in the lineup. Aberdeen has a high motor and even better IQ, allowing them to be a team you should not be surprised if they are making waves this season at the AA level.
11A
Lennox – After just missing out on the playoffs in 2021, Lennox will be out and making sure they do not miss it again this year. With QB Braeden Wulf Braeden Wulf 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Lennox | 2023 State leading the team, he has plenty of tools around him to at least be a 3-6 seed in the playoffs. Lennox had only missed out on seed points with less than a 1 point differential between them and Sioux falls Christian. Protected by his big offensive line, their is not many chances opposing teams defense will have the ability to get to Wulf in the backfield. With the Division weakening, I think this will be a chance to Lennox to shoot up and take up a higher seeding in the 11A brackets.
11B
– MCMFC high school went 7-3 and only missing out on the playoffs, losing out to a team with a worse record due to the point system. With now returning senior

coming back as a speedy slot receiver, I believe they are lock to make the playoffs this year. Cleveland is pair with another good receiver in Jackson Grady. These two will anchor a solid offense for the MCMFC offense. Not to mention an always solid offensive line and having
Lane Deutsch most likely to be taking snaps this year. With an overall solid team, I would not be surprised if this team could make a run deep into the 11B playoffs with their deep roaster and overall talent.
We will take a more in-depth look next time at 9 man teams and see who have the edge in those Divison.
