It was some great studs from the 2026 class I was able to see today. These are some guys you are going to want to keep your eyes on.
Jalin Trotter, 6-1 160, WR/DB, Meridian, 2026
Jalin is a 2026 guy you are going to want to keep up with. He has a nice frame to grow into and he moves well. He has great hands and he has good movements in his hips. He has some route running work today, but there are a lot of kids at his age who have that same problem. He plays DB with a lot of heart. He wants to make a play and he is very disruptive in the passing game. Too early to tell what he will play at the next level. It’s very easy to tell he is going to be very special Meridian.
Jamison Kelly, 6-1 170, ATH, Provine, 2026
Kelly is crazy athletic. He was very dominant today. He has a lot of athleticism that he is toting around with that nice frame. He is going to grow to be a big time playmaker at Provine. I love the skill set that he already has. He has very great ball judgment and he makes nice cuts. He can get it done on both sides and he has a lot of potential to be a Power 5 recruit. He is going to turn a lot of heads the more he attends camps and the more he puts out film. Kids is amazing and he turns head with his performances.
Tyler Davis, 5-10 150, ATH, Leflore Co
Tyler will be a playmaker for his team this year. Leflore needs him to step up and play now. He is ready and will waste no time growing up. He does not have the time to make excuses. He’s got to mature very fast. Seeing him today made me notice that he will be able to make that transition. He can catch the football and he has nice speed. He has good upside on offense, but today he stood out on defense a lot. He breaks on the football very well and he has natural instincts for the position. He will have a big name in the Delta this year and soon his name will be big across the whole state.
Marcus Flowers, Jr, 5-9 150, RB, Charleston, 2026
Marcus is going to be a RB who will be able to catch it out of the backfield and run. He has a nice form when he runs that shows he has some of that Charleston speed. He walks around with a lot of swag and totes himself like a polished athlete. He is very quick on his feet and I can’t wait to see him play the game. Today he showed that he can have a promising future at RB. It will be interesting to see how he grows over the years. He plays LB on defense and he has the skills to play that position too. He just moves like a RB and that seems like a great fit for him. He is one to keep up with.
Cedric Owens Jr, 5-11 150, WR/DB, Natchez, 2026
Cedric is a kid that works extremely hard. He stays getting a good workout in and he was doing it again today. He is another kid that will be big out of his class. He is tall and has a lot more vertical growing to do. He can catch very well and he runs good routes to be his age. He will always get better because he works so hard. He is also a good defensive player. He knows how to break on the ball and he also knows how to read receivers. He has a great football IQ to be only a freshman. Be sure to keep up with him.
