Here, we take a look at some Cobb County QBs and break down their game.
Jeremy Hecklinski Jeremy Hecklinski 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Walton | 2024 State GA
High School: Walton
Height/Weight: ~6’1 175~
Offers: UCF and Georgia Southern

Scouting Report
Threw for nearly 1500 yards last year while splitting time with Georgia Southern QB signee Zak Rozsman. Completed his passes at a 60% clip and threw 13 TDs against 2 INTs. Showed tons of growth from his freshman year where he completed just 54% of his passes and threw 5 TDs against 7 INTs. Has a longer, over-the-top release, but he gets the ball out quickly and puts plenty of velocity on it. Is best when he can pick apart defenses in the short and intermediate passing games. His arm strength and ability to read defenses allow him to make throws into tight windows. Has plenty of touch on his deep ball, an area of his game that has improved greatly. Is not a “run first” QB, but should be considered a dual-threat QB with his ability to extend plays and scramble when the play breaks down. All in all, he has one of the quicker releases I have seen in this class and will have 2 more years to continue to grow and improve his game. PO5 starter upside.
Player Comparison
Holden Geriner – Auburn
Geriner was a bigger QB coming out of HS, but both have the same style release and excel in making tightly contested throws over the middle of the field. I would say Hecklinski poises a bigger running threat than Geriner.
Cayman Prangley Cayman Prangley 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Kennesaw Mountain | 2023 State GA
High School: Kennesaw Mountain
Height/Weight: ~6’2 215~
Offers: Grambling State, Columbia, UT-Martin

Scouting Report
Was one of the more productive and prolific passers in Georgia last season. Threw for almost 2000 yards last season and 25 TDs against just 6 INTs. He also added 300 yards rushing with 7 TDs. More importantly, led his team to a regional championship and was named the 1st team All-Region QB. More of a passer than a runner, but defenses will certainly have to be aware of his running ability, or he will make them pay. Has RB like vision and runs the option game well. As a passer, he is fundamentally sound and does a great job of making sure he’s balanced and that his feet are set before he throws the ball downfield. His most impressive attribute is likely his ability to throw on the run and off-platform without sacrificing much arm strength and accuracy. Has decent pocket awareness and stands tall in the pocket while facing pressure. Has a smooth release and puts plenty of trajectory on the ball, a great touch ball passer that shows promise in the short and intermediate passing game. A bonafide FBS level QB prospect with the chance to raise his ceiling if he can raise his 57% completion percentage from a year ago. Already has plenty of D1 opportunities.
Player Comparison
Spencer Rattler – South Carolina
Rattler is a bit more twitchy in the pocket, but both have a similar play-style and release. Prangley is a bigger running threat.
Malachi Singleton Malachi Singleton 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB North Cobb | 2023 State GA
High School: North Cobb
Height/Weight: ~6’1 225~
Offers: Arkansas (committed), Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami, others.

Scouting Report
One of the more intriguing QB prospects in the country with his unique frame and skillset. Last season, he threw for 2350 yards and 24 TDs to 3 INTs. More impressively, he ran for an eye-popping 1,037 yards and 25 TDs. Has a short and stocky build, almost like a RB, and he runs like one too. Is an unbelievably explosive athlete and has great speed which allows him to run away from the defense. He also has great vision which makes him extremely effective in the option game. Has some finesse ability as a runner and can make people miss, but he does not shy away from contact. His future is at QB, but he is athletic enough to excel at multiple positions. Has great pocket prescience and makes some throws to his 3rd and 4th progressions on film. With his strong frame and running ability, he is hard to bring down in the backfield and can extend plays with his legs. Has a beautiful deep ball which is probably more developed than his short and intermediate game at this point in his career, but that element of his game will improve as he adds more arm strength. Currently committed to play QB at Arkansas, so is a clear candidate to be a major contributor at the highest level of CFB. With more development, he has the potential and the rare skillset to play on Sunday.
Player Comparison
Frank Harris – UTSA
Finding a comparison for Singleton was hard as he is truly a unique player. However, I see some similarities between him and record breaking UTSA QB Frank Harris, who will get a chance at the next level. Both are similar in build, arm talent, and have serious running ability. Singleton looks to be a more prolific runner and much larger than Harris, but the similarities are there.
Bryson Harrison
High School: Lassiter
Height/Weight: ~6’2 190~
Offers: Stetson, Eastern Kentucky, ETSU, Georgia State, Charleston Southern
Scouting Report
It was an up-and-down 2021 campaign for Harrison who finished with 1200 passing yards with a 54% completion percentage in 9 games. He also threw 8 TDs against 8 INTs. Regardless, he has plenty of desirable QB traits and an intriguing skillset. Harrison has one of the more intriguing releases I have seen. It’s more of a longer release when gearing up to throw the deep ball, and he shortens up when making short and intermediate passes. Has a really nice deep ball, which might be his most accurate throw. His shorter release when throwing short and intermediate routes allows him to get the ball out quickly and put the ball into tighter windows. Is a decently mobile QB that poised a running threat. Runs the option game well and doesn’t shy away from contact. Shows the ability to throw on the run extremely well and extend plays with his legs. Harrison has plenty of FCS and GO5 offers, and that’s without having a huge season at the varsity level.
Player Comparison
Davis Mills – Houston Texans
Both are comparable in size and they both have the unique ability to change up their release and delivery styles. Also have comparable trajectories on multiple throws.
