<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here we breakdown the top 50 athletes for the 2023 class with updated offers &amp; commitments. The top 200 was recently updated and released as referenced here&nbsp;<a href="https://prepredzone.com/oregon/rankings/2023-rankings/">https://prepredzone.com/oregon/rankings/2023-rankings/</a>. Per usual rankings are based on who projects highest at the collegiate level.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>1.[player_tooltip player_id='226949' first='Teitum' last='Tuioti'] 6-3 220 DE Sheldon<strong>&nbsp;(COMMITTED: Oregon)&nbsp;</strong>The transfer from Nebraska ranks as the top player in the state for the class, coming quick and fluid off the edge. He is extremely athletic and will require a consistent double team if you want to have any chance of containing him.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>2.[player_tooltip player_id='110176' first='Demarcus' last='Houston'] 6-2 185 ATH West Albany&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: Oregon St, Portland St)</strong>&nbsp;You could list Houston as the top ATH/WR/DB in the state. His versatility is what makes him such an appealing recruit. Expect the 3* standout to add a handful of additional D1 offers before he is done as the film speaks for itself.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>3.[player_tooltip player_id='110171' first='Sam' last='Leavitt'] 6-2 200 West Linn QB&nbsp;<strong>(COMMITTED: Washington St)</strong>&nbsp;I think it was a great decision on Leavitt's part as it relates to WSU. It's a good fit and he will get to air it out close to home. Expect the Lions to be the #1 ranked team in the state.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>4.[player_tooltip player_id='110182' first='Chip' last='Allers'] 6-3 215 Summit LB&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: Idaho, Army)</strong>&nbsp;One of the fastest rising recruits in the region. Allers could very well be the Oregon 5A POY on both sides of the football and a double digit D1 offer kid.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>5.[player_tooltip player_id='110178' first='Jack' last='Wagner'] 6-4 185 QB Tualatin&nbsp;<strong>(COMMITTED: Idaho)&nbsp;</strong>Wagner has had one of the most impressive off seasons of any player in the NW, landing a handful of division 1 offers. The Vandals got an early commitment from a kid who I could see being one of the best in the Big Sky.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>6.[player_tooltip player_id='147240' first='Richie' last='Anderson'] 6-4 225 DE Tualatin&nbsp;<strong>(COMMITTED: Colorado St)</strong>&nbsp;Credit to the Rams for getting on Anderson early as he has looked the part and then some. His recent MVP type performance at the Les Schwab Bowl helped solidify his status as one of the top players in Oregon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>7.[player_tooltip player_id='147861' first='Luke' last='Leighton'] 6-5 195 WR/LB Sheldon&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: Air Force, Army, Portland St)</strong>&nbsp;Leighton's combination of size and overall versatility is rare. He could very well end up on the defensive side of the ball at the next level. That said as I could see him going for 1000+ receiving yards this year, after an impressive junior campaign where he racked up 1st&nbsp;team all-league accolades on both sides of the football.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>8.[player_tooltip player_id='110209' first='Jordan' last='Fisher'] 5-8 175 RB Westview&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: Montana St, PSU,&nbsp;Idaho, Idaho St, Air Force, Army, Navy)</strong>&nbsp;One of the fastest rising stocks of any player in the NW. Fisher made a big jump on the rankings board, adding a handful of division 1 offers after rushing for 1,526 yards and 26 TDs, and averaging 9.6 yards per carry. He is the exception to the rule from a size standpoint.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>9.[player_tooltip player_id='110179' first='Drew' last='Rodriguez'] 6-2 200 DB/ATH&nbsp;<strong>(COMMITTED: Colorado St)&nbsp;</strong>Easily one of the fastest rising stocks of any player in the NW. As noted earlier, credit to the Rams on grabbing early commitments from two of Oregon's best ([player_tooltip player_id='147240' first='Richie' last='Anderson']). The 3* standout might be the most versatile athlete in Oregon, projecting as a 1st&nbsp;team kid on O, D and as a return man.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>10.[player_tooltip player_id='110180' first='Mark' last='Hamper'] 6-2 205 ATH West Linn&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: Portland St)&nbsp;</strong>Hamper will be a conference and state POY favorite on both sides of the football next season. He earned 1st team all-league honors on O &amp; D going for close to 1300 all-purpose and 12 TDs offensively, along with 42 total tackles and 5 INTs on defense.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>11.[player_tooltip player_id='270063' first='Tristan' last='Davis'] 6-7 245 DE Lakeridge<strong>&nbsp;(OFFERS: Arizona, Arizona St, Colorado, Nevada)</strong>&nbsp;The big man recently made the transfer from Wilsonville to Lakeridge. The competition will be a night and day difference. His projection will depend on what he does on and off the field.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>12.[player_tooltip player_id='206771' first='Will' last='Wilson'] 6-3 220 LB Tualatin&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: N. Arizona)</strong>&nbsp;Wilson checks a lot of boxes and has a division 1 body. He is another individual who could land a handful of additional offers, while helping to lead a top Tualatin program.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>13.[player_tooltip player_id='205821' first='Kevin' last='Cassidy'] 6-6 280 T Mountainside&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: Portland St)</strong>&nbsp;Cassidy has a stock which continues to rise. From a collegiate projection standpoint there are few with a higher ceiling as he is still relatively new to the position. As noted, numerous times the genes speak for themselves.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>14.[player_tooltip player_id='110242' first='Ryan' last='Oliver'] 6-3 195 QB Lakeridge- Look for Oliver to add multiple D1 offers before he is done. As referenced numerous times he is a year young for the grade, but will still be a three-year starter, throwing 29 TDs/7 INTs in the last 16 games.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>15.[player_tooltip player_id='110187' first='Brock' last='Thomas'] 6-0 175 QB Sheldon&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: N. Arizona, E. Washington, PSU, Air Force, Army)&nbsp;</strong>This kid has been lights out, putting up unreal numbers as a junior 43 TDs (22 passing, 21 rushing). The 3* standout has landed 5 D1 offers in the last few months and is poised to be a conference and state POY candidate.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>16.[player_tooltip player_id='205815' first='Tiger' last='Black'] 6-3 265 DL Roseburg&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: Air Force, Army)</strong>&nbsp;The reigning SWC Defensive POY and 2x 1st&nbsp;team all-league athlete,&nbsp;is an absolute disrupter on the interior, and should land some additional D1 offers separate from the military institutions.&nbsp;<br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>17.[player_tooltip player_id='206761' first='Andrew' last='Walker'] 6-1 170 WR South Medford&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: Portland St)</strong>The state champion in the 100 meters will have multiple options at the division 1 level. He was one of the only underclassmen to earn 1st&nbsp;team all-conference honors on both sides of the football at the 6A level and the 10.6 speed puts him in a different category.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>18.[player_tooltip player_id='238432' first='Roice' last='Cleeland'] 6-3 280 C Jesuit&nbsp;<strong>(OFFERS: Portland St)</strong>&nbsp;As most know Roice is the son of 8-year NFL vet Cam Cleeland. He projects as one of the top centers in the West and potentially the nation. He earned 1st&nbsp;all league and 2nd&nbsp;team all-state honors as a Junior.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>19.[player_tooltip player_id='204578' first='Caleb' last='Clardy'] 6-1 200 LB Daid Douglas- Clardy will end up playing D1 ball somewhere. He earned a 3* national ranking from 247 Sports and plays with a no non sense demeanor. He will be in the Mt Hood POY conversation.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>20.[player_tooltip player_id='168252' first='Oliver' last='Fisher'] 6-5 225 TE/DE Sherwood<strong>&nbsp;(COMMITTED: Boise St)</strong>- Fisher earned 1st&nbsp;team all conference honors at DE, while projecting as the top TE in the state for his class to boot. Look for him to catch 30+ balls as a senior.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>21.[player_tooltip player_id='270070' first='Calvin' last='Macy'] 6-2 200 LB Lake Oswego<strong>&nbsp;(OFFERS: E Washington, Air Force, Yale, Penn)&nbsp;</strong>Macy has had one of the most impressive off seasons of any athlete on this list. He earned 1st&nbsp;team all TRL honors as a junior, and&nbsp;will be called upon to lead a Lakers team who graduates a talented senior class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>22.[player_tooltip player_id='208393' first='Tyler' last='King'] 6-5 235 DE Clackamas<strong>&nbsp;(OFFERS: Idaho)</strong>&nbsp;King is an impressive kid with his combination of size and speed coming off the edge. He went somewhat under the radar as a junior, but looks to have learned from former teammate and current freshman standout Kaden Ludwick, now at the University of Colorado.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>23.[player_tooltip player_id='376115' first='Cody' last='White'] 6-7 250 T Estacada- White is still raw but the 6-7 frame is appealing. It's a tough call against 4A competition but he did well enough as a junior to earn 1st&nbsp;team all-league and honorable mention all-state honors. It all comes down to continued progression as there is still a lot of work to be done.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>24.[player_tooltip player_id='147247' first='Earl' last='Ingle'] 6-1 215 LB West Linn- The reigning TRL defensive POY and one of the most talented kids in Oregon.&nbsp; It wouldn't surprise me to see Ingle end up with multiple D1 offers. He impressed with his overall athleticism,&nbsp;making 61 total tackles with 6 tackles for loss and 5 sacks. He also added 3 INTs and 3 PBU's.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>25.[player_tooltip player_id='376116' first='Sanborne' last='Melson'] 6-1 190 DB Jefferson- Melson's stock shot through the roof this off season. He will have to prove it on the field but all the intangibles are there, drawing praise from some of the top coaches in the state and earning a 3* ranking by 247.&nbsp;<br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>26.[player_tooltip player_id='110201' first='Hogan' last='Carmichael'] 6-5 200 QB Summit- Another kid who could land a few D1 offers before he is done. His size and mobility speak for itself, accounting for 24 TDs (19 passing, 5 rushing) as a junior at the 6A level with only 3 INTs. His 10.5 yards per carry average speaks to his overall athleticism.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>27.[player_tooltip player_id='205818' first='Noah' last='Staley'] 6-0 220 FB/LB Jesuit- Staley is one of the top fullbacks in the West and maybe the nation. He earned 1st&nbsp;team all-conference honors on both sides of the football and could very well end up on D collegiately.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>28.[player_tooltip player_id='110184' first='Campbell' last='Sager'] 6-5 245 DE Westview-&nbsp;Sager earned 1st team All-Metro honors making 25 tackles, with 3 tackles for loss and 2 sacks on the season. Not crazy #s but Sager is a physical presence coming off the edge.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>29.[player_tooltip player_id='270064' first='Jake' last='Holmes'] 6-3 225 DE West Linn- All the Holmes kids can play. Jake had a big junior year earning 1st&nbsp;team all TRL accolades in the state's toughest conference. He could potentially double his stat line from last season where accounted for&nbsp;28 total tackles, 5 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>30.[player_tooltip player_id='206763' first='Ryan' last='Berger'] 6-5 280 T Liberty-&nbsp;One of the fastest rising players in the state. The Co- Offensive lineman of the year in the Pacific Conference had an outstanding junior season, impressing with his overall mobility on D and earning 2nd&nbsp;team all-league accolades there as well.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>31.[player_tooltip player_id='263787' first='Austin' last='Goetz'] 6-2 210 LB Tigard- Goetz is a rangy athlete who brings legit size and speed to the table. He should compete with Ingle and Wilson for TRL POY accolades as the Tigers bring back a host of talent.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>32.[player_tooltip player_id='205822' first='Payton' last='Roth'] 6-3 190 RB Jesuit- Roth has the potential of being Oregon's breakout player of the year after going down early last season due to injury. He will split time with one of the top juniors in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='152333' first='Lonnie' last='Burt'], and could still average 200+ a game running behind the state's top O line.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>33.[player_tooltip player_id='110175' first='Sullivan' last='McDaniel'] 6-3 220 LB Clackamas- Another kid who has size and is an outstanding overall athlete. A lot will be determined this off season, with McDaniel being one of the region's top lacrosse athletes as well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>34.[player_tooltip player_id='110183' first='Jayden' last='Moses'] 6-0 200 LB Grant- If we are talking pure talent Moses is one of the best players in Oregon. He will be a 4 year all conference starter and the overwhelming favorite for PIL POY honors.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>35.[player_tooltip player_id='342013' first='Zach' last='Wusstig'] 6-1 180 ATH/DB South Salem- Wusstig projects at DB but will also be a viable offensive threat, so he's listed as an ATH. I like the move to South to show what he can do against top competition. He would have been the overwhelming favorite for Oregon 2A POY honors.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>36.[player_tooltip player_id='217272' first='Charlie' last='Ozolin'] 6-1 180 DB Summit-&nbsp;One of the highest ceilings of any athlete in Oregon. You can expect numerous Ivy League schools to be vying for his services, as he will project as a 1st&nbsp;team all-state kid on both sides of the football at the 5A level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>37.[player_tooltip player_id='271479' first='Braiden' last='Copeland'] 6-2 195 ATH McNary- Copeland grabbed 1st&nbsp;team all-league honors on both sides of the ball, coming from a talented family with brother Tyler Copeland being the conference POY last season. He has gone somewhat under the radar but is legit on D as well.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>38.[player_tooltip player_id='206757' first='Tini' last='Tinitali III'] 6-0 180 WR South Salem- Tinitali&nbsp;led the state of Oregon in receptions (78)&nbsp;and finished 2nd in total receiving yards with 1,040 at the 6A level. The Saxons are loaded at the skill positions so it will be interesting to see if he can maintain those type of #s.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>39.[player_tooltip player_id='147254' first='AJ' last='Perez'] 6-3 170 WR Tigard- Perez definitely looks the part and has put together some impressive film both on the field and the 7v7 circuit. It will come down to whether or not the Tigers decide to air it out with their run-oriented attack.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>40.[player_tooltip player_id='110204' first='Baylor' last='Corbin'] 6-2 175 DB/ATH Lakeridge- Corbin has caught 47 passes over the last two seasons at receiver. That said as I like him at DB where he was clutch most of last year. His size at the position makes him an appealing recruit, where he made 33 total tackles, with 2 INTs and 6 PBUs in 2021.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>41.[player_tooltip player_id='270073' first='Milan' last='Clark'] 6-2 170 DB Grant- Clark was potentially the most versatile underclassmen in the PIL last season, where he earned 1st&nbsp;team honors on D and 2nd&nbsp;team on O. He should be able to lockdown any WR within the conference.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>42.[player_tooltip player_id='205817' first='Sean' last='Khouri'] 6-2 275 G Jesuit- Khouri doesn't have prototypical D1 size but he is a mauler and fundamentally as good as any lineman in the state. From a projection standpoint it's a size thing as he's definitely got the talent.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>43.<strong>Donald Stephens Jr.</strong> RB 6-0 200 Grant- Chili broke out as a freshman putting together some impressive film at the Varsity level. From a recruiting standpoint a lot will depend on how he shows up this season. Making the move to the TRL is a whole different ball game, where he will get to prove himself against the state's top competition. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>44.[player_tooltip player_id='110174' first='Kaden' last='Huppin'] 6-0 185 ATH Westview- Expect Huppin to be one of the top two-way threats in the state as a senior. He earned 3rd&nbsp;team all-Metro honors at DB, but tests off the charts and has the potential of being one of the best in Oregon.<br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>45.[player_tooltip player_id='147245' first='Josiah' last='Davis'] 5-11 210 RB North Salem- This season will be telling with North making the jump to 6A. Davis did well last season leading the state at the 5A level in rushing TDs with 20. He will have plenty of opportunities to back up his 3* status in an 'up for grabs' Central Valley Conference.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>46.[player_tooltip player_id='271448' first='Dominic' last='Nacoste'] 6-3 250 OL/DL Estacada-&nbsp;One of the top recruits in Oregon at the 4A level. Nacoste has great size and is an outstanding overall athlete. He was the lineman of the year within the conference and the only Junior in Oregon to earn 1st&nbsp;team all-state honors.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>47.[player_tooltip player_id='270068' first='Josh' last='Merriman'] 6-4 270 DT Sheldon- Another kid who has a ton of potential, earning 1st&nbsp;team all SWC honors as a junior. His mobility and overall physicality in the tranches helped him account for an impressive 30 total tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks on the year.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>48.[player_tooltip player_id='270069' first='Pete' last='Pennington'] 6-5 215 TE Churchill- Most aren't aware of Pennington yet, but he can play split out at WR, or put some weight on at the next level and be a legit Tight End. He provides options for colleges.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>49.[player_tooltip player_id='272810' first='Ben' last='Thornbrue'] 6-7 220 DE Glencoe- You can do a lot with 6-7. The honorable mention all-conference returner can also play some hoops, helping to shine a light on his overall athleticism. He's another kid where the sky's the limit if he can put it all together.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>50.[player_tooltip player_id='205816' first='Hunter' last='Borter'] 6-4 215 QB Beaverton- Borter has great size and showed flashes of promise as a Junior on a team which wasn't loaded.
