Frederick County has a ton of receiving options that can impact a game. These are the best of the bunch.

Anthony Rakowski (2023) | 5’7 WR | Brunswick

Rakowski is a smaller versatile receiver. He can excel in the slot but he also has the ability to line up in the backfield and be a receiving threat out of the backfield. Despite his lack of size, he is very good in contested ball situations. He is also very good after the catch. He can take short and intermediate routes and make them big plays. Rakowski is a solid player and will be a big part of Brunswick’s offense.

[player_tooltip player_id="357730" first="Ethan" last="Genos"] (2023) | 6’4 TE | Brunswick

Genos is a modern-day tight end. He is able to be a force both in the run game and the passing game. He is a very good run blocker and is often times used as an extra tackle. He drives defenders off the ball. As a receiver, he shows that he has good hands as he shows strong hands and the ability to hold on to the ball. Genos is able to do it all and will be a very big part of Brunswick’s red zone attack.

[player_tooltip player_id="278605" first="Travon" last="Neal"] (2023) | 6’0 WR | Frederick

Neal is an elite prospect and one of the best athletes in the state. He is elite at what he does. He is a very explosive receiver that has big play ability. He can attack defenses vertically as he has the speed to get behind the defense. He is also dangerous on screens, jet sweeps, and short passes as he is a threat with the ball in his hands. Neal knows how to blend his explosiveness with technique which makes him a handful for defenses. Neal is a special player.

Trent Johnson (2024) | 5’9 WR | Frederick

Johnson is an athlete that can be used in multiple positions. He has played quarterback at times for Tuscarora. He is better as a receiver and expect Fredrick to use him as a receiver. He has good ball skills as he does a great job of locating the ball and attacking it. He has good hands and is able to come down with balls through contact. He is a good route runner and is able to get himself open. He is also very elusive and is able to make guys miss in open space. Johnson will be a fun player to watch in Frederick’s spread offense.

Hunter Thompson (2024) | 6’3 WR | Oakdale

Johnson is a physically dominant receiver. He has a huge frame, which allows him to make plays. He is a very good 50/50 ball receiver. He is also very good in jump ball situations. He uses his frame to position himself to come down with contested balls over smaller defenders. If Johnson can round out the rest of his game he can be a big college prospect.
