Football University Camp Highlights

The Football University camp is wrapping up in Naples today. The state of Arkansas has been well represented in Naples over the past few days. We are going to look at several prospects that had strong weekends at the camp and give some prospects to keep an eye on over the next few seasons. The camp performances from the Natural State prospects were impressive to say the least. <strong>Ryan Adjam-Wide Receiver-Bentonville West-2027</strong> Adjam has had an extremely impressive summer and has performed well at numerous performance camps in the process. In Naples, this weekend Adjam put his pass speed and route running ability on displa/8*9y. Adjam looked comfortable on the field and earned top performer awards for the wide receiver position in the class of 2027. Adjam is only going to keep improving and he is one of my prospects to watch out for coming up through the ranks. The future is bright for this talented wide receiver. <strong>Kaleb Johnson-Running Back-Fayetteville-2026</strong> We discussed Fayetteville running back Kaleb Johnson the other day in the article. Johnson went and performed exactly the way I thought he was going to over the weekend. Johnson showed that speed and decision-making talent this weekend and, in the process, earned honors at the running back position for the class of 2026. However, he was not finished, Johnson earned an invitation to the Futures Showcase at the end of the year. I expect Johnson to have a strong season for the Bulldogs this season. Keep an eye on Johnson, this young man is just getting started. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="308813" first="Truitt" last="Rowland"]-Defensive Line-Farmington-202</strong> Rowland is the first Farmington player we are going to look at that performed well in Naples over the weekend. He put on display some impressive versatility over the weekend and showed a knack for getting in the offensive backfield. The 2024 prospect for the Cardinals is going to be a defensive lineman to watch out for this season. Rowland will give the Cardinals a player that can man the defensive tackle spot or operate effectively on the edge. The 2022 season should be a strong one for the Farmington defensive lineman. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="228033" first="Tayshawn" last="Edwards"]-Wide Receiver-Warren-2027</strong> Edwards has the potential to be the next Warren great at the wide receiver position. Edwards put on an impressive show at the Football University camp over the weekend. The summer camp circuit has opened plenty of eyes in regards to Edwards and this camp was no different. Edwards went out there every day and earned all camp honors. He is a wide receiver that can stretch the field or slice you up with his route running. Edwards has several seasons to light up Friday nights here in the state of Arkansas, it should be a fun ride. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="213495" first="Blair" last="Ken Irvin III"]-Wide Receiver-Bentonville-2026</strong> The wide receiver classes in the state of Arkansas are going to be some of the most talented seen in the Natural State in some time. Irvin III is another talented prospect that can stretch the field and force the defense back on its heels. He is a prospect that has had an excellent summer and he continued his solid production in Naples over the weekend. Irvin III is a smooth route runner, and he does a great job of getting open for his quarterback. He has the potential to really open some eyes over the next few weeks. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="149539" first="Hunter" last="Marshall"]-Offensive Line-Farmington-2024</strong> [player_tooltip player_id="149539" first="Hunter" last="Marshall"] has had an extremely busy summer and he closed it out in strong fashion. Marshall showcased his impressive foot speed and good strength this weekend in Naples. Marshall will go into the season after a strong offseason and an impressive 2021 football season. The Farmington Cardinals went deep in the state playoffs a year ago and I expect an impressive season from Marshall and Farmington this season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="339134" first="Rhett" last="Richardson"]-Quarterback-Springdale Har-Ber-2025</strong> [player_tooltip player_id="339134" first="Rhett" last="Richardson"] is a quarterback that went into the Football University camp with plenty of momentum. The Springdale Har-Ber signal caller had a terrific camp in Naples over the weekend. He was able to get some work in with the 2023 quarterbacks and display his strong arm and accurate deep ball in the process. Richardson’s strong performance earned him an invitation to the national combine invite later in the year. Richardson is going to be a prospect to watch out for at Springdale Har-Ber. I look for him to continue his strong offseason and build off of it over the next few months.
