Quincy Phillips Quincy Phillips 5'8" | 180 lbs | ATH Brandon | 2025 State MS had himself a great day at camp yesterday. He is a very shifty RB that can also play slot receiver. He has great hands and can run routes well. I like his confidence too. He is a guy a that likes to be challenged and wants to compete against the best of the best. He was making sure that he got his reps in and was seen. He is very explosive and changes directions real well. I think his offers will start to roll once the season rolls in.
Tyrekus “Omar” Brand, 6-0 160, WR/DB, Southaven, 2026
Brand was showcasing that he has a great future. Omar already has an understanding of route running. Watched him very closely yesterday and I like the way he releases off the line. He was holding his own against older defenders. I like the way he attacks the ball. The more he works on his route running the more he will progress. He has a lot of upside and can easily grow to be 6-3 or taller. He has nice speed and is long. He is going to be a problem for a lot of defenders he faces over the next few years.
Kenzy West, 6-0 180, WR/DB, Port Gibson, 2025
Kenzy is a sophomore that has a lot of talent. He definitely has a nice route running catalog. He can get open anytime he wants. He has great size and can be a big time D1 prospect. His hands are automatic and he is very quick on his feet. He attacks the ball and does not wait on it to come to him. He can be a big playmaker or either a possession guy. He understands the game and has a nice football IQ. He knows how to go get sit down in the open window when defenses play zone. I think Kenzy West is a big time name that should be kept up with. He also plays defense.
Dylan Moran, 6-3 175, QB, Hancock, 2024
Dylan was showing off his ability and was very impressive throwing the ball. He slipped and still ran a 4.75. This kid is going to have a nice season and I love watching him perform. Dylan has a long frame and can still gain another forty pounds before he graduates high school. He was very smooth releasing the ball and has a lot of potential to be a big playmaker at QB for Hancock this year. He can make a lot of throws, but needs to have a shorter memory of bad throws. He also needs to make sure he isn’t using all arm when delivering the football. He will have a big season down on the coast of Mississippi.
Jay Beamon Jay Beamon 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Cleveland Central | 2025 State MS , 6-2 205, QB, Cleveland Central, 2025
Jay Beamon Jay Beamon 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Cleveland Central | 2025 State MS has been impressive everywhere he goes. He is definitely going to be a Power 5 guy. He has a cannon hanging from his right shoulder. The kid just turned 15 and he stands tall in the pocket like he has been doing it fifteen years. He gets better every time I see him. He can make any throw on the field that you need him to make. He puts a very nice spin on the football and he is vocal with his teammates. He is not a guy that likes making mistakes and he knows how to instantly fix his last mistake. He is a very coachable kid that pays attention and does not mind criticism. He will become a bigger name and there will be a lot of schools offering him real soon. He has some interests, but nobody has pulled the plug yet. He is in the MS Delta and that sometimes hurts our athletes in that region of the Magnolia State. He plays with Mississippi Speed 7v7 and they do a great job promoting this young QB. He definitely will finish top three in their class when it comes to the whole state. He can very possibly be a nationwide name.
Quincy Butts, Jr, 6-0 200, LB, New Hope, 2025
Quincy did a great job at camp. He can move very well and has a lot of get up about himself. He was doing very great in 7v7 and I look forward to seeing him in action again soon. He is behind a stud in New Hope’s defense, but I think he will find a way to get a lot of playing time this year. He has some nice size and speed so I’m sure he can help a team out in some kind of way. He definitely has the look of a Power 5 prospect, but there needs to be some good performances from him on Friday nights before the offers start rolling in.
