In Russellville today, some of the most talented offensive and defensive linemen in the state were able to get some work in with the Arkansas Tech coaching staff. We are going to highlight some prospects on both sides of the line that had impressive performances at the Arkansas Tech camp. We will also give a few offensive linemen that have the potential to have big seasons in 2022.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175585" first="Roy" last="Hudson"]-Offensive Line-Charleston-2023</strong>
Hudson has had a strong offseason. With impressive performances at Henderson State and Southern Nazarene University to go along with a strong performance today, it has been a strong summer for the Charleston offensive lineman. He has quick feet and impressive power. Hudson can overpower opposing defensive linemen and he loves to finish blocks. With a scholarship offer from Hendrix College to his credit he has the potential to have a strong 2022 football season. Keep an eye on Hudson and Charleston this season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="137779" first="Josh" last="Lawrence"]-Offensive Line-Sylvan Hills-2023</strong>
Sylvan Hills offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="137779" first="Josh" last="Lawrence"] had a strong showing at the Arkansas Tech camp today. Lawrence set a new personal record on the bench press lifting 225-pounds 18 times. Lawrence is another offensive lineman that has impressed with his versatility at the University of Arkansas camp in Fayetteville and today he had an opportunity to flash his power and executed. During the 2022 season, he will likely season action on both sides of the ball. He has the opportunity to open some eyes this season and he has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="262460" first="Akira" last="Fujibayashi"]-Offensive Line-Greenwood-2026</strong>
The Greenwood offensive lineman had a strong showing at the Arkansas Tech camp today. He has had a solid summer with impressive performances at numerous camps including the University of Arkansas camp and the Henderson State camp. Fujibayashi is in midseason form and closing out the summer in strong fashion. Keep an eye on Fujibayashi this season, his versatility along the offensive line is going to make him a valuable prospect to watch out for this season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="384153" first="Cash" last="Hays"]-Offensive Line-Quitman-2024</strong>
Hays is a prospect that scouts are going to want to keep an eye on this season. Hays can play any position along the offensive line. However, he seems to settle in and take over the game from the tackle spots. Hays had a strong performance at the Arkansas Tech camp and in the process is building plenty of momentum for the upcoming season. Hays is going to be a prospect to keep an eye on, both the run and pass blocking from this young man is solid and I look for him to have a big 2022 season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="233255" first="Nigel" last="Robinson"]-Offensive Line-Arkadelphia-2023</strong>
Arkadelphia is a talented football team with talent all over the field. [player_tooltip player_id="233255" first="Nigel" last="Robinson"] is an explosive offensive lineman that has very quick feet. He is able to mix his speed with his power to finish his blocks. Robinson’s terrific performance at the Arkansas Tech camp helped earn him a scholarship offer from the Arkansas Tech coaching staff. Robinson has also earned a scholarship offer from Ouachita Baptist this offseason and is closing out the offseason in strong fashion.
<strong>Kyrone Sims Jr-Defensive Line-Watson Chapel-2023</strong>
On the defensive side of the ball, Kyrone Sims Jr. has shown up to every camp this offseason and performed well. His strong performance today earned him a scholarship offer from Arkansas Tech. Sims Jr. has that quickness that presents problems for opposing offensive linemen. He is a prospect that is always around the ball carrier and one that does not give up on a play. Look for Sims to have an extremely strong season for Watson Chapel this season.
