This is going to be a long series of new additions to our rankings to make sure that each young man is highlighted. That being said, there are P5 caliber recruits down to D3/JUCO recruits. The moral of the story, each of these young men did the work and deserved a spot in our rankings. We’re here to highlight their hard work. Without further ado, let’s take a look at Pt. 6 of our New Additions to the 24’ Rankings.
Clement Carey Clement Carey 6'0" | 170 lbs | RB St. Ignatius | 2024 IL
Mr. Carey is used in the return game where he flashes his foot quicks and ability to find an alley before he breaks a long return – with some going for six. This young man can attack the ball at the highest point when going up for 50/50 balls to secure the contested catch and can break long runs when he’s at wingback. In the latter, he further showcases his foot quicks to outrun 2nd level defenders before being brought down after a big gain. Overall, I’m very interested to see how this young man produces on the Varsity level and the immediate impact that he can make. Keep an eye on this young man.
Rasheed Johnson Rasheed Johnson 6'1" | 185 lbs | RB Boylin Catholic | 2024 State IL
Mr. Johnson can burst through the line of scrimmage and once he does he has the foot quicks to blow by the 2nd level defenders to break a long run in the process. This young man follows his blocks well both on inside and outside the tackle runs, both of which his foot quicks come to light as once he finds the hole he hits it hard getting straight N/S. Overall, this young man is a hard runner that has the vision to find running lanes quickly and can explode through them full steam ahead.
Austin Campbell Austin Campbell 6'1" | 160 lbs | WR Naperville North | 2024 IL Twitter
Turn on Mr. Campbell’s first two clips below and you’ll see why I’m excited about this young man. If you want to press him at the line he can use his foot quicks to gain inside release and stack the defender quickly before he’s vertical along the seam. Here, he finds himself WIDE open in both instances as he secures the catch and gets vertical quickly for six. What’s also impressive are the flashes he has on finding the soft spot in zone coverage to be an outlet for his quarterback in the hook/curl. Overall, as he heads to Varsity keep an eye on him and Standout Luke Williams Luke Williams 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Naperville North | 2024 State IL in the receiving core as they can potentially be a dominant 1-2 punch.
Aaron King Aaron King 5'11" | 165 lbs | DB Marian Catholic | 2024 IL
Mr. King is a safety that flashes his ability to trigger downhill in run support to play the alley. Here, he can secure open field tackles in the box and along the perimeter. When he’s in pass coverage, this young man does flash his ability to play the middle of the field to make a play on the ball. Overall, this is a young man that has potential heading into this fall season. Getting a full season of his highlights together is only going to improve his recruiting stock and I’m looking forward to seeing how he produces.
Jase Szakel Jase Szakel 5'10" | 180 lbs | DB Minooka | 2024 IL Twitter
Mr. Szakel can play at various positions in the secondary taking snaps between safety and nickel corner. This young man flashes his ability to close on the ball carrier on the perimeter when coming down in run support. When he is going to make open-field tackles, he squares up to the ball carrier and wraps up to limit the chances of a missed tackle on the play. In pass coverage, this young man flashes his ability to take breaks on the ball to undercut the route for pass breakups at times. Here, he can play through the man instead of playing the ball which is how he comes away with his pass breakups. Overall, this young man flashes a lot of different skill sets during his sophomore season film. I’m looking forward to seeing how his skill set transpires this fall season and the production that comes out of it. You could very well see this young man’s stock rise as a result of his untapped potential coming to light.
