This is going to be a long series of new additions to our rankings to make sure that each young man is highlighted. That being said, there are P5 caliber recruits down to D3/JUCO recruits. The moral of the story, each of these young men did the work and deserved a spot in our rankings. We’re here to highlight their hard work. Without further ado, let’s take a look at Pt. 14 of our New Additions to the 24’ Rankings.
Mr. Norton is an inside linebacker that can flow to the ball well and trigger downhill quickly in close space to meet the ball carrier in the hole for no gain. He also flashes his ability of breaking down and squaring up to the ball carrier before securing open field tackles. Let’s not forget that this young man is also used in special teams where he can fly down the field to secure the tackle for minimal gain on the return. Overall, this young man got his feet wet on Varsity this last fall and I look forward to seeing how he’s able to produce this fall.
Anthony Capesius Anthony Capesius 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Maine South | 2024 IL Twitter
Mr. Capesius is a halfback that’s quick through the hole as he can get through the line of scrimmage quickly with his foot quicks. He does so after he uses his vision to find the running lanes quickly between the tackles. When he’s running outside the tackle runs, he can use his lateral quickness to turn the corner and flashes his ability to break weak grab tackles in the process of doing so. This young man can also catch out of the backfield on swing routes posing a threat in the air attack. Overall, I’m interested to see how he develops over the years and what his full skill set is in the air attack.
Mr. Johnson can secure the catch in traffic when he’s in the slot and gets vertical upon doing so. Once he secures the handoff, he can use his foot quicks to gain a step on the 2nd level defenders as well as weave in/out of defenders in open space. This young man also flashes his lateral quickness to turn the corner when he’s running outside the tackles. In the air attack, he can catch out of the backfield on wheel routes where he can gain leverage on the defender to win over the top and at times go for six when doing so. Overall, this young man is more of a slippery type of runner that poses a threat in both offensive attacks.
Jacob Bronsman Jacob Bronsman 6'2" | 250 lbs | OL Freeburg | 2024 IL Highlights
Mr. Bronsman flashes his ability to work up to the 2nd level blocks in the run game, anchor in pass protection to tie up the rushing defender, and wash the defender down the line of scrimmage. In the run game, this young man can drive his feet through the whistle creating a hole for the ball carrier. What I’m interested to see more of out of this young man is his ability to win at the point of attack on a consistent basis in the run game. Overall, he’s showcased his potential in pass protection and flashes in the run game – both of which I’m interested to see how much of his untapped potential comes to light.
Mr. Lowrey flashes his ability to flow to the ball to secure the tackle on the perimeter, react quickly when in zone coverage to secure errand throws for interceptions, and being able to close on the ball carrer quickly to secure the tackle at/near the line of scrimmage. What I’m interested to see develop out of this young man is his ability to slip blocks and shoot the gap to disrupt plays in the backfield. He flashes this in his highlights below along with his closing ability. Overall, I’m interested to see how this young man produces this fall season and how he’s able to produce.
