David "Ruffin" ""’ last=’’] is not the only Queen City guy who was blessed with nice moves. Daniel Hill Daniel Hill 6'1" | 220 lbs | WR Meridian | 2024 State MS likes to get jiggy on the field every now and again. He is absolutely one of one on the football field. He has size, he has speed and he has heart. Daniel will be picking up a lot of yards this season for the Meridian Wildcats. He is a taller back that knows how to use his power and speed. Daniel has a long stride that doesn’t look very fast, but we know he is picking up a lot of ground. Daniel can even play receiver. That’s why sometimes you will see him listed as an ATH. He has nice vision and when he hits the hole he hits it hard. He has very good hands and is a major threat to catch the ball out of the backfield. He has a lot of lower body strength so he does not get arm tackled often. He is a guy that gets behinds those pads and brings the load when he is running the ball. He has multiple offers and many more will come this season. It’s just in his DNA to be a great Wildcat. His dad was on that legendary 1985 Meridian team. Look for Hill to have a superstar year in the Queen City.
Chris Davis Chris Davis 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Picayune | 2024 State MS , Jr, 6-0 185, Picayune
Chris can do it all on the field. He lines up at corner, he runs the ball like a swan on a lake and he is deadly in Picayune’s return game. He is very smooth at RB and this year look for him to rack up some flashy yards. Davis is so quick when he runs the ball. It looks like he is doing it with ease. When he hits the sideline he has an amazing burst of speed that screams house call. Once he gets those shoulders square on the edge he is hard to catch. Chris is very light on his feet when he is toting the rock. He does not have to use a lot of moves to get around defenders. Just a quick tap dance and he floats on his merry way. Chris also has great hands out of the backfield. He will give LBs trouble in man to man coverage. Chris has a lot of offers and more will come soon. He is rated as a 4 star recruit and is in the top ten of his class in MS.
Omar Scott Omar Scott 6'2" | 200 lbs | RB Winston Academy | 2024 State MS , 6-1 215, Winston Academy
Scott is one of those tall backs who looks like a glider when he is running the ball. Omar has a lot of grit and he gets tougher as the game goes on. He’s one of those guys who never runs out of gas. He is going to always find another gear when the game is getting to a clutch moment. He has a nice straight arm move he uses that keeps defenders off of him. He is a downhill guy that you don’t want to meet in the hole. He will run you over and keep on going. Omar is going to have a major year for Winston Academy. Ready to see them hand him the ball 20 plus times a game.
