Jamal Miles 6’0 170 CB Pelham 2023
While being one of the more underrated defensive prospects in the state, Miles earned an offer from Liberty University and the University of Alabama in Birmingham this week. This adds to an impressive offer list that includes the University of North Alabama, Arkansas State, and Southern Miss. In pass coverage, Miles shows great breaking/ recovery speed. Allowing him to take chances, knowing he’s never really out of a play. He does a great job of playing through the receivers’ hands and causing deflections. Lastly and most importantly, Miles plays with a linebacker’s mentality. When pressing, he’s aggressive and doesn’t mind exchanging getting into chicken fights if the receiver initiates contact while running his route. He also has big hit capability won’t hesitate to blast off on guys whenever he gets the chance. As the summer comes, look for Miles to climb up the ranks and gain more offers.

Jyheam Ingram 6’1 265 DT Muscle Shoals 2023
With Ingram earning an offer from Southern Illinois University this week, the 2023 prospect continues his recruitment. With offers from the University of North Alabama, the University of Tennessee at Martin, and South East Missouri State- Ingram is in a good position to stack offers into the fall. If Ingram’s game could be described in one sentence, it would be “the big fella can move.”. Though he’s closer to the 300-pound side of the scale, Ingram shows excellent quick twitch and burst on his first step. This speed rusher mentality in the interior is unique and poses significant problems for opposing offenses. This is even more impressive when he shows elite straight-line speed when chasing down ball carriers and making plays on perimeter runs. Though speed is his meal ticket, Ingram uses that to generate power, allowing him to be extremely physical when engaging with blockers. Expect Ingram to gain more momentum before the fall.

6’3 220 DE/OLB 2024 Grissom
Edwards has received an offer from Northwestern St. The Grissom high product also boasts offers from Alcorn State and Arkansas State. The 3-4 Defensive end shows excellent size, skill, and burst. He has swift a first step and can finish plays in the backfield. He also shows power at the point of attack with shreds, rips, and straight power rushes. Doesn’t have a problem getting off blocks and can consistently win one-on-one reps. Though he’s only a sophomore, Edwards has a great blend of speed and power that will be refined as he approaches his graduation date. Look for the D1 offers to continue to roll in.

Micah Hampton 6’3 275 DL 2024
Hampton seems to be going on tour with the camp dates he’s been posting. With recent appearances at the UAB camp and Alabama State camp, he received an invite to Mississippi State to compete in Starksville this summer. With great size, Hampton is a force to reckoned with in the interior. He isn’t a polished rusher, but he can consistently win on straight power rushes and desire. Shows a high level of physicality when working through blocks and an ability to stand his ground against opposing linemen. Hampton also has a solid wingspan and constantly wins the leverage battle and maintains control against blockers. With a ton of invites and the whole summer to go, it’s only a matter of time before Hampton gets a major offer.
I will be @HailStateFB camp on tommorrow. Another opportunity to compete. @PhelpsDLCoach @RGibsonMSU @BucsFootball @RecruitHoover @PrepRedzoneAL @AL7AFootball @bighamp66 pic.twitter.com/jSS1ZKbF0c

Jacob Strunk 6’1 250 C/OG Southside 2023
Strunk represented the state to the fullest in his visit to Shorter University. Upon his attendance at their summer camp, he received an offer this week and looks to gain more momentum as the summer unfolds. He shows exceptional lateral movement when working zone blocking concepts as a blocker. He can get to the second level as a puller and take out defenders as a lead blocker on the perimeter. Strunk is also an excellent finisher when chipping opposing linemen in double teams. As an anchor on the line and his apparent ability to perform in camps, this won’t be the last you hear of Strunk this summer.
With hard work and discipline, dreams do come true! After speaking with the @Shorter_FB coaches and staff, I am blessed to receive My First 🅾️ffer Today!!! @Southside_FBall @CoachMHolcomb @shankles_turner @AverageJoesSpo1 @coachcurd @coachmorrison58 @DexPreps @Recruits_AL pic.twitter.com/tVjvfHmwbE
