Standout Players At BGSU Football camp

<div class="article-content"> It was a beautiful sunny day at Bowling Green State University College football camp that over 150 athletes from all over Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky attended to showcase their skills. Below are a few athletes that caught my eye! <h2 class="uni-headline--1"></h2> <strong>Conner Smith 2024 | 5’7″ 150 | WR |<a class="uni-link--implied" href="https://www.hudl.com/team/v2/16610">Miamisburg High School </a></strong> Conner is a smaller-sized wideout that impressed me on Saturday with his shiftiness and ability to create separation from defenders, and locate the ball with ease. In 1 v 1’s, he displayed really good route running mechanics getting in and out of breaks quickly, beating defenders deep, adjusting to bad balls, and catching everything that hit his hands. In his sophomore tape, he runs routes just as crafty and well as he did at camp. Whoever bets their chips on him is getting a ball player! He showed on Saturday in drills that he has good footwork can drop his hips and change direction plus go up and high point the ball. He was the fasted tight-end at the camp and in 1 v 1’s he beat defenders with speed, double moves, and won vertically. Last year played more of a wideout roll for the panthers expecting him to take a big leap his junior year now he has a year of varsity experience under his belt. If Aj has a good junior season he will be on people radar. <strong><a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/14666362/AJ-Miller">Hudl</a>/ <a href="https://twitter.com/AJMiller2024?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor">Twitter</a></strong>   <strong>Amir Simmons 2024 | 5’6″ 145 | WR | Alder High School</strong> Amir is a quick wideout that is lethal when running intermediate routes. He ran multiple different routes during 1 v 1’s and didn’t lose very many reps at that camp. I liked his creativity in routes and his competitive nature. I like him as a Slot/RB type just a kid you need to get into space and allow him to use his ability. Amir could be a good contributor this year for Gahanna who lost in Regional Semi-Finals last season. He ran one of the fasted 40’s at the camp clocking a 4.5 . He competed at the wideout position showing that he can catch, and run routes. In 1 v 1 he showed quickness to beat the press and just take the top off the defense. Last year started Qb and if you watch his film you see the speed, playmaking ability, toughness and his to throwing as well. JJ is a good player and has the ability to play multiple positions could be a wideout or defense of back at the next level.
