Players are getting an idea of what is working for them as far as their training and diets are concerned. At the same time, new and veteran coaches are figuring out what may or may not be working for them. Whether it is the drills they do, or the scrimmage games played coaches and players are fine tuning their games on the regular. In this series I will be covering as many schools as I can, from as many different classes as I can. ln this article we will take a look at the class 7A Rogers-Heritage War Eagles.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="132965" first="Carter" last="Hensley"] #12</strong>
<strong>QB</strong>
<strong>c/o 2023</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="132965" first="Carter" last="Hensley"] is looking to lead his team to victory in 2022. At 6’4" 195lbs, Hensley shows a ton of raw ability on film. He has a strong arm and gets the ball out of his hands quickly. Carter runs a 4.9 40-yard dash, making him dangerous in the run game as well. Hensley is a good improviser, his ability to escape the pocket and throw the ball on the run makes him very dangerous. Carter has all of the tools he needs to take his game to the next level.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="254250" first="Hunter" last="Seals"] #67</strong>
<strong>OL</strong>
<strong>c/o 2023</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="254250" first="Hunter" last="Seals"] is a monster on the offensive line. His 6’6" 310lb frame allows him to man handle opposing defenders. Seals is very good in the passing and running game, getting his feet set quickly and continuing to drive his legs until the whistle blows. As far as technique goes, Seals is more of a mauler type than technical. Hunter is a major piece on this offensive line and looks to continue to keep getting better in the 2022 season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="337244" first="Briar" last="Goodwin"] #92</strong>
<strong>DE/DT</strong>
<strong>c/o 2023</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="337244" first="Briar" last="Goodwin"] is a difference maker on the defensive line. At 6’2" 245lbs Goodwin displays all types of different rushing abilities. Whether using a form of hand technique or raw power in the pass rush Goodwin is dangerous. Briar is quick off the snap as well, allowing him to chase down opponents with ease. Goodwin displays solid tackling and always seems to be hurrying opposing quarterbacks. Briar is working to help take this War Eagle defense to the next level.
<strong>Christopher Incao #23</strong>
<strong>RB/LB</strong>
<strong>c/o 2023</strong>
Christopher Incao displays power when running the football. He is a 6’2" 225lb running back that runs downhill, like a human wrecking ball. He displays great awareness and patience when running the ball. Incao is serviceable at the linebacker position as well, making great reads and tackles. Personally, I believe he makes a bigger impact at running back. Christopher is fun to watch at both positions, making himself invaluable to the War Eagles. Incao is ready to take his game to the next step in 2022.
