Toledo Football kicked off the summer with their first edition of one-day football prospect camps. This camp garnered athletes from all over the country, from Alabama to New York’s Staten Island. Over 300 prospects came to compete to earn a scholarship and see where they stack up at the beginning of the summer. Here are some standouts from today’s one-day elite camp at Toledo.
Henry Tabansi, OL, 2023
6’5 285lbs
Moore Catholic High School (NY)
- One of the first prospects that caught my eye was the big and athletic Tabansi, who ran smoothly in the lineman drills and looked his best in the three-cone exercise.
- Tabansi has finally broken out this past month, earning multiple division one offers over the past two weeks.
- He has a lot of upside for his size and athletic ability to become a premier tackle.
- High caliber mid-major prospect/ Power five prospect IMO
Kameron White, WR, 2023
6’2 185lbs
Huntsville High School (AL)
- Kam currently holds one offer from North Alabama and is on a bus tour with elite talent.
- He has great COD at the top of his routes.
- Sneaky speed and beat many DBs off the ball while being pressed.
- Hand-eye coordination was solid, and he didn’t drop many passes during one v one drills.
- Hips and feet were fluid in transition.
Laith Shamma, DE, 2023
6’6 248lbs
Ann Arbor Huron (MI)
- I had a good conversation with Laith during the camp, and he is motivated.
- Shamma is verbally committed to Toledo.
- Laith is focused this summer on getting stronger and developing his craft as a pass rusher.
- He has tremendous upside and could help the Rockets early in his college career.
- Key Matchup to watch this fall (Saline vs. Huron) CJ Carr, 5-star QB, will get an early test vs. Shamma.
Grant Zimmerly Grant Zimmerly 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Perrysburg | 2023 State OH , OL, 2023
6’4 287lbs
Perrysburg (OH)
- Coming off a season-ending injury, Zimmerly looked better than ever today
- Brute strength kind of prospect with the ability to bully defenders play after play
- Grant is verbally committed to Toledo, and his brother plays for BGSU; thanksgivings will be great
- First-team All Ohio talent and is a must-watch prospect on Friday nights
Preston Wolfe, WR, 2024
6’1 171lbs
Hilliard Bradley (OH)
- Wolfe had a great camp and turned almost everyone’s head on a comeback and go route; see the video here:<

- Preston ran a 4.8 forty time and ran his routes with a good burst.
- has the ability to fight at the top of a route to get in position
- and uses his hands well while combating defenders
Preston Bowman Preston Bowman 6'0" | 190 lbs | WR Pickerington North | 2025 State OH , ATH, 2025
6’0 190
Pickerington North
- Tremendous awareness when being left in space (one on one with defender)
- Understands tempo when running routes
- Very athletic and has the frame to add more weight.
- Division 1 talent IMO
