We are in the middle of college recruiting and offers are going out to prospective prospects. There are players who have had good performances throughout last season. The players have had good performances in the classroom as student-athletes as well. I am doing a review of five players that I would offer right now based on their field and classroom performances.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="118810" first="Carter" last="Revelle"], 6’4" 195, (No. 19 Overall/No. 6 QB), Scotland County HS</strong>. Carter displayed poise and patience while under pressure in the pocket to deliver accurate passes. He has a quick release on his throwing motion. Carter displayed quickness to elude tacklers when he tucked it and ran to gain yardage. <span class="pn-player-link"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="118810" first="Carter" last="Revelle"]</span><span class="info-box"><a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/carter-revelle/"><span class="player-img"><img class=" ls-is-cached lazyloaded" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/10/Carter-Revelle-Scotland-Co.-HS-150x150.jpg" data-src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/10/Carter-Revelle-Scotland-Co.-HS-150x150.jpg" /></span></a></span></span> finished the season with 1,939 passing yards, 21 passing TDs and 4 rushing TDs, while completing 57% of his pass attempts. I have been watching Carter’s progression and development as a football player since Middle School. Carter has all of the attributes to become a college quarterback. He will continue to improve his skillset during off-season training. Carter’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="115724" first="BJ" last="Brown"], 5’9" 180, (No. 58 Overall/No. 9 RB), Lee County HS</strong>. BJ is a talented running back with a high upside and is expected to move up in the player rankings during the upcoming season. He displayed great footwork and the ability to change directions quickly, making it difficult for defenders to make a solid tackle on him. BJ runs with power and balance and does not go down after initial contact has been made. He displayed good speed and acceleration past defenders in the open field to gain big yardage. BJ finished the season with 1,338 rushing yards and 9 rushing TDs for a 102.9 rushing yards per game average. He will continue to improve his skillset during off-season training. BJ’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="327282" first="Braylon" last="Canales"], 6’3″ 290, (No. 69 Overall/No. 9 OL), Jay Robinson HS</strong>. Braylon displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders and drive-block them out of the play. He uses upper body strength and quickness to open lanes for the running backs. Braylon displayed good mobility and quickness in tight spaces. He is expected to anchor the offensive line during the upcoming season. He will continue to improve his skillset during off-season training. Braylon’s participation is Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interests for him.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="287838" first="Tavares" last="Carter"], 6’3″ 170, (No. 50 Overall/No. 9 WR), Heritage HS</strong>. Tavares runs good pass routes and separation from defenders to make catches. He displayed good hands on the catches made in traffic. Tavares is a big possession receiver who averaged 18.5 receiving yards per catch. He uses his height and long arms to his advantage, making it difficult to defend him in man-coverage. He will continue to improve his skillset during off-season training. Tavares’ participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="265789" first="Jason" last="Mcneilly"], 6’2″ 230, (No. 82 Overall/No. 8 DL), Shelby HS</strong>. Jason is quick out of his stance to make contact with blockers and good use of hands to control blockers. His quickness enables him to move past blockers, often unblocked to make the stop in the backfield. Jason is difficult to block in a one-on-one situation. He is expected to be one of the leaders on the defensive line during the upcoming season. He will continue to improve his skillset during off-season training. Jason’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him.
