These 7v7 teams featured highly touted prospects to players on the come up or on the brink of a break out season. I spent most of the time recording video and taking pictures, all while taking mental notes of the action happening before me. I was only in attendance for the first day, so will only be talking about what I saw during pool play.
Up next is the Omaha North Vikings who brought out a good sized squad that was flooded with talent from the ’23 class all the way to up-an-coming ’26s ready to step in. Omaha North brings a lot of versatility to the field with several players capable of starting on both ends of the field. Check out which players I thought had standout performances during Day 1 of the Battle Tournament.
Tre’Vionne Brown (2023) | WR/DB
- Tre’Vionne looks to be leading by example this season. He was a consistent playmaker on both offense and defense.
- Runs great routes and can make plays at all levels of the field. You can send him deep, over the middle, and short routes and he will produce no matter what.
- Defensively, he has a high football IQ with great reaction time when he reads pass. He had some really nice interceptions on routes that he jumped perfectly.
- Brown is just one of those players that can just flat-out ball. I don’t really like to compare players, but I think Tre’Vionne will fill a similar role as Keshaun did last year. A reliable, fast, smart athlete that can put the game on his back and get you a touchdown or force a turnover to put you in a position to win.
Nate Collins Nate Collins 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Omaha Burke | 2025 State NE (2025) | QB | 6’0″ 170 lbs
- Nate split reps at QB for this tourney, but I thought he played very well in the time he had.
- It felt he had good chemistry with his receivers and the timing on some of his passes was perfect.
- Confident thrower that can put some zip on the ball and push it deep. He had a really nice deep throw to RB Porter.
- Another thing to note is that Collins looked noticeably bulkier and stronger than when I last saw him at the Stock Up showcase.
Te’Shaun Porter Te’Shaun Porter 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Omaha North | 2023 State NE (2023) | RB/WR | 5’11″ 200 lbs
- We didn’t get to watch this bruising back run the ball due to the nature of 7v7 games, but I did see a lot of good reps from Porter as a receiving back. Including a long TD reception.
- He has deceptive speed that he uses to burn slow linebackers and has the strength and power to outmuscle DBs, making him a tough matchup.
- Te’Shaun is a bigger back that is coming off a huge junior year in which he rushed for 1,610 yards and 18 touchdowns. I am fully confident that he will be able to improve on those monster numbers.
Sebastian Circo Sebastian Circo 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Millard North | 2025 FL (2025) | QB
- Circo continues to impress with his accuracy and decision-making on the field.
- One thing I’ve noticed from Sebastian’s game is his patience and how quick he can assess the field post-snap.
- He does a great job moving through his reads and makes smart throws.
- Sebastian also showed off his arm strength with some big throws downfield.
- Excited to see what Sebastian will do this year.
KeVaughn Shannon KeVaughn Shannon 5'8" | 140 lbs | WR Omaha Westside | 2024 State NE (2024) | WR
- A super speedy receiver that destroyed defenses while operating out of the slot.
- KeVaughn is a YAC machine and showed the ability to take a quick pass and tack on an additional 10+ yards by using his shiftiness.
- Shannons showed off his hands and made several tough catches in traffic.
- Really liked Shannon’s twitch and footwork.
Julian Turner-Wright (2023) | OLB | 6’0″ 200 lbs
- Talk about a first impression. This was my first time getting a look at North LB Julian Turner-Wright and he looks like he going to be a thumper in the middle of the Viking’s defense.
- Big, strong, physical player that passes the initial eye test.
- He looked solid in coverage and kept step for step with RBs and TEs.
- Really excited to see how North uses Julian in their defense and to see how he looks in pads.
Titan Glassman Titan Glassman 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE (2025) | WR/DB | 6’0″ 175 lbs
- Titan has been one of the most impressive 2025 prospects since he started varsity for Burke as a freshman.
- Despite already being more advanced than other players in his class, Glassman continues to make strides in his development and looks like one of the top young talents in the state.
- Titan runs routes like a veteran and does a great job with his footwork and is explosive when he sinks his hips and changes directions.
- He’s a quick and reactive safety that plays with good hands and doesn’t mind getting physical with receivers.
