With the way that football has evolved into a passing game, having playmakers on the outside is essential to be successful. The Indianapolis area has a host of talented wide receivers who are ready to take their game to the next level next fall. [player_tooltip player_id="107291" first="Desmond" last="Duffy"], 5’8, 185 pounds, 2023, Carmel https://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/desmond-duffy/loj638W_EeqAzqREozo6lw/default.htm [player_tooltip player_id="107291" first="Desmond" last="Duffy"] is an electric prospect for the Carmel Greyhounds. Duffy works well coming out of the slot. Duffy has top-tier speed and route-running ability- two traits that make him a matchup problem for anybody. Duffy is effective when it comes to catching screen passes. He secures the grab, finds the hole and bursts through the defense for a nice gain. In general, Duffy is terrific after the catch. He is able to win a footrace with a defender and break off a chunk play. Duffy shows a good understanding of coverages. He does a nice job of finding the windows in the defense and sitting down to give the quarterback a nice throwing lane. Duffy is a talented return man, as well. He can find the crease and hit it hard to set the offense up in good field position. [player_tooltip player_id="107291" first="Desmond" last="Duffy"] will be looking to improve upon an impressive junior season that saw him rack up 731 receiving yards with 11 touchdown receptions. He also had 157 kickoff return yards as well as 141 punt return yards, a season ago. [player_tooltip player_id="325840" first="Marques" last="Reese"], 5’4, 170 pounds, 2023, Ben Davis https://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/marques-reese/5JFaP_XLEemAzfp8ouYFiw/default.htm [player_tooltip player_id="325840" first="Marques" last="Reese"] enjoyed a fruitful junior campaign with the Ben Davis Giants, last year. Now he has put himself into position to have a big senior year. Last year, Reese caught 58 passes for 723 receiving yards. Reese hauled in five touchdown grabs. He also found ways to make plays on kickoff returns. Reese returned 16 kickoffs for 204 yards in 2021. [player_tooltip player_id="325840" first="Marques" last="Reese"] will be a prospect to watch closely in the fall. Gabriel Aramboles, 6’0, 202 pounds, 2025, Westfield https://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/gabriel-aramboles/8fevw_cDEeuAz5TgcHt2rg/default.htm Only due to become a sophomore this upcoming season, Gabriel Aramboles has announced himself as one of the state’s most promising prospects at the wide receiver position. Aramboles is a solid route-runner. Helping his chances of winning his route is the fact that he wins at the line of scrimmage. He has a good release and can immediately work on creating separation from the defensive back. Whether deep, intermediate or underneath routes, Aramboles can get open on any play. When he does get vertical, he has the ability to take the top off the defense. Aramboles is solid after the catch. He also showcases good blocking ability, helping open things up for his teammates. In his freshman season, Aramboles caught 41 passes for 605 yards with four touchdowns. He further displayed his playmaking ability by topping 100 rushing yards with one touchdown. Gavin Tindall, 5’11, 170 pounds, 2023, Covenant Christian https://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/gavin-tindall/0CoyCIeNEemA0ZFtwg1OMQ/default.htm Gavin Tindall is a playmaker in all three phases for Covenant Christian. Offensively, Tindall is a speedy slot receiver who can run underneath or stretch the defense vertically. Tindall is a good blocker, something that will allow him to be in more for running plays and pass plays where the ball is not designed to go to him, knowing that he can still contribute to the success of the play. Defensively, Tindall is a ball-hawking safety. On special teams, Tindall demonstrates the natural playmaking ability that he possesses by returning kickoffs and punts effectively. As a junior, Tindall caught 30 passes for 597 yards and half-a-dozen touchdowns. At safety, Tindall recorded 44 tackles with two-and-a-half tackles-for-loss. He showed his ability to take the ball away by nabbing seven interceptions. He added six passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. On special teams, Tindall returned 21 kickoffs for 484 yards and 17 punts for 207 yards.
