One of the top two-way prospects in West Georgia, Swain is a ball-hawk on defense in the secondary and a game-changing playmaker a=on offense as a wide receiver. He’s got a long frame at 6-foot-1 180-pounds and he’s consistently one of the best athletes on the field at all times. He had impressive ball skills and knows can line up in multiple positions on offense. He can take an end-around to the edge and down the sideline for a big gain, and he’s a threat to take it the distance in the screen game as well due to his quickness and straight-line speed. Defensively, Swain tracks down the ball as well as anyone in the area. He reads the QB, finds the football and knows how to make a play on it. He was incredibly productive last year on both sides of the ball, making 47 receptions on offense for 855 yards and 8 touchdowns. Defensively, Swain made 28 tackles and picked off two passes. He’s an easy D1 talent and holds offers from South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Maryland, among others.
[player_tooltip player_id="34054" first="Ahmad" last="Brown"] - Crisp County
In South Georgia, you’ll often see a team’s best player play on both sides of the ball, and Brown certainly made an impact in every phase of the game last year for the always talented Crisp County Cougars. Brown, a 6-foot-1 195-pound athlete committed to Ole Miss, is without a doubt one of the top overall players in the area. His ball skills are what separates him from other pure athletes in the region and in Class AAA. As a receiver, Brown caught 27 passes and made them all county, gaining 541 yards for an average of 20 yards per reception. He can line up on the outside or in the slot, but no matter where he is, he’s dangerous with the ball in his hands. He’s quick, elusive, and has a knack for getting behind defenses down the field. Defensively, he’s a bigger defensive back who tackles well and knows how to make a play on the ball. He ended last season with 25 tackles and 3 INTs. Look for him to help lead Crisp County to a deep playoff run this fall.
Davion Hampton - Kell
One of the top breakout candidates in Cobb County, Hampton is an impressive two-way standout and one of the top players on a very impressive Kell Longhorns team this fall. The rising senior has good size at 6-foot-0 190-pounds with track-star speed, clocking in at 4.48 recently in the 40-yard dash. A former quarterback, Hampton’s overall athleticism translates well to both sides of the ball due to his quickness, ball skills, and natural playmaking ability. He’s also a tough competitor and had a special drive that should allow him to play at the collegiate level. He has an outstanding staff at Kell coaching him up, so expect him to make a ton of plays on both sides of the ball this fall at both receiver and safety. His speed and natural feel with the ball in his hands makes it easy to see why he has sky-high potential for the 2022 season.
