The 2022 version of this game features athletes in the 8th grade (2026), 7th grade (2027) and 6th grade (class of 2028) in the states from Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina. Below, here’s a look at the Georgia linemen in the class of 2027 (7th grade) that stood out from the Georgia team during the practices.
Kyson Mallard | Offensive Line | 2027
Mallard looks like he’s going to be an Offensive Tackle who will be playing on Saturdays in a quick few years. During the week at Future Stars practice he was lined up at Left Tackle and I thought he did a very good job of protecting his Quaterbacks’ blind side. Already 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds, he’s high cut with very long limbs. Covered a lot of ground quickly with his kick step technique too.
Rylan Robertson | Offensive/Defensive Line | 2027
One of the smaller linemen on the seventh-grade Georgia Future Stars at 5-foot-10 and 210 pounds, he showed a lot of ability. An athletic kid who was built more like a Linebacker than a lineman. On both sides of the ball, does a great job of reacting off the snap and getting his hands on the guy across from him first. Won a number of one-on-one matchups by controlling the matchup at the point of contact.
DJ Rumph DJ Rumph 6'0" | 170 lbs | DL Undecided | 2025 GA | Defensive Line | 2027
Everywhere Rumph goes he tends to find success as an Edge rusher. Just under six-foot and 185 pounds he was very explosive off the snap, attacking the Offensive Tackles outside shoulder with ease. Can play standing up or in a three-point stance. Had the ability to get skinny, stay square to line of scrimmage and get around the edge on a consistent basis. Also impressed with his motor to track down plays going away from him.
Lotomau Seumaala | Defensive Line | 2027
While Rumph was making life difficult for the Offensive Tackles out in space, Seumaala was no walk in the park for the the interior offensive linemen tasked with blocking up. The 5-foot-9 and 270-pound tackle was a load in the middle, who had his way against most of the guards during practice. Showed off a strong base and was not easily blocked–sometimes requiring a double team.
Timothy Harvey Timothy Harvey 6'2" | 265 lbs | OL Pace Academy | 2027 State GA | Defensive/Offensive Line | 2027
Harvey was fresh off camping at UGA the day before reporting to Future Stars camp and he told me he more than held his own against the upperclassmen in front of Kirby Smart and staff. At FSG practices, he flopped between Offensive and Defensive Line, winning nearly every rep he took on both sides of the ball. There aren’t many prospects out there like Harvey, forget the fact that he’s only entering eighth-grade, that can play any position on either side of the ball on the line.
Elijah Peeks | Defensive/Offensive Line | 2027
In my opinion, from watching the line fairly closely for a large portion of one of their four practices, Peeks may have had the best showing of any linemen on the team. He’s on the roster at 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds, but I think both of those measurements are on the low side. He completely took over portions of the live period by walking back the Offensive Lineman in front of him with sheer power and disrupting the play in the backfield. I walked away very impressed.
Abraham Eisenhower | Offensive Line | 2027
Looking at Eisenhower, the name of the game for him potential. The Valdosta prospect, like majority of the linemen at this level, is still growing into his body and figuring it all out. That said, at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds he has a tremendous frame to keep adding inches and pounds. He moves, bends and lines up more like a Tight End than a tackle. If he continues to fill out and keeps his promising footwork he could be a very good Offensive Tackle that much of the nation will want to know about.
