Although under-recruited, they will be a steal for any college team and have had very productive high school careers thus far. Here, we will dive into their 2021 tape and give an in-depth evaluation on each prospect.
Marley Alapati Marley Alapati 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB Junipero Serra | 2024 State CA , De La Salle HS
Alapati still has two years left of his prep career but has made a big impact on the Spartans defense already. Operating mostly from the OLB position, he is an athletic kid with a strong build and explodes through contact at the POA. Taking good angles to ball carriers when triggering downhill, he is a impressive open field tackler that can knife tackle through the ball carrier or breakdown in space. Although mostly playing in space, he can apply pressure off the edge, explode through contact in the box against bigger blockers and shows solid closing speed.
OT Jed Anezil, Petaluma HS
Anezil is still a very raw and developing prospect but has legit size and length for the next level. As he continues to pack on more weight and grow into his body he could develop into a very impressive prospect to know out of the North Bay. He shows a quick first step, solid punch at the POA and can create immediate vertical drive through defenders. A natural bender in his stance, he is still working on pad level and finishing blocks, but is a intriguing prospect with some upside as he develops.
S Keala Keanaaina Keala Keanaaina 6'0" | 190 lbs | DB St. Francis | 2023 State CA , Saint Francis HS
Keanaaina is one of the most rangy and instinctual single high players across the state. Pre-snap, he shows a high football IQ and is fast and explosive enough to cover the entire field in both the run and pass game. Showing fluid hips in transition and a natural peddler that sinks his hips, he breaks well to ball carriers in the backfield and shows tremendous closing speed and angles when dropping down into the box and pulling the chain. In the pass game, he flashes strong ball skills and eye discipline while baiting quarterbacks into bad throws consistently. A do it all player with good physicality and toughness, he should be closing in on a FCS+ offer soon.
IOL Solomon Tupa, Saint Francis HS
Tupa is one of the top interior offensive lineman across all of Northern California and is a big part of the dominating rushing attack for Saint Francis. A compact and strong player with good bend and initial explosion, Tupa has a quick first step and strong inside punch while creating immediate movement along the LOS. Getting underneath defenders and able to finish blocks with a strong and wide base, he can also pull without false steps when needed and explodes violently through contact consistently. A true phone-booth blocker that can finish, he is a run centered player that is a top road grader across the region.
