Downing is a very balanced and physical edge player that should have a huge 2022 season. He is very technically sound, strong at the point of attack and can use both speed and power to rush the passer from various different angles. In the short area, he moves well laterally and can collapse of pocket while showing a strong and active use of hands at the point of attack. Physical and a high motor kid, he will be a top player in the VVAL this Fall.

RB Jeffrey Page, Vintage HS 2024

This season will be the first for Page on Varsity but he was a dominant force for the JV team last fall. He fits the crushers physical style of play and is a vertical downhill runner that has natural forward lean, keeps his legs driving through contact and seemingly always falls forward. He is tough to bring down in-between the tackles and does a good job at waiting for his blocks to develop and hitting the hole in a hurry. He will be a new emerging name across the county over the next couple seasons.
LB Jadon Meyer, Saint Helena HS 2023

Meyer will be the top defender returning for a young Saint Helena team who is coming off a section title appearance last season. He is a very fluid and instinctual athlete with quick play recognition and triggers while taking good angles in the open field and explodes through contact at the POA. He should be the top tackler for the Saints this season as they look to continue their winning ways across the section and an always tough NCL I.

DL David Garcia, American Canyon HS 2023

Garcia is a bit under-sized for the defensive end position but has a very explosive first step and shows sudden quickness and good hand speed at the point of attack when rushing the passer. He is a natural bender that can flip his hips at the top of his rush and collapse the pocket quickly while able to track down quarterbacks backside. He is a high motor and tough player that shows open field speed and quick block recognition while keeping a low pad level and wins with leverage in the run game.
