As a scout, I am on a constant lookout for new names to send to college coaches, often coming across kids with great talent or measurables. Often times, many prospects look the part but have yet to put out substantial production on tape, whatever the reason might be. In this piece, we will highlight some prospects who are ready to breakout this upcoming Fall!

[player_tooltip player_id="248648" first="Riley" last="Hackett"] | 6’4, 230 | Upper Dublin

Upper Dublin is loaded with talent across the board. [player_tooltip player_id="248648" first="Riley" last="Hackett"] is just another name ready to blow up at this program. Many in this list are talents that are either raw with great size, where we might be ready to see an uptick in either production or recruitment. Hackett might be the home-run of this list. Production is there, size is there. Instincts at edge rusher are there, Hackett has a natural feel to him that allows me to trust he’s going to make plays when needed most. Similar build and playstyle to the previously mentioned [player_tooltip player_id="358176" first="Mark" last="White"], adding that he can provide quality offensive line reps as well. One of my favorite players.

[player_tooltip player_id="358010" first="Manuel" last="Miller"] | 6’3, 225 | Altoona Area

We might be late to the party on this Altoona prospect. Tough to top [player_tooltip player_id="249765" first="Wyatt" last="Cooper"]’s all-around athleticism, [player_tooltip player_id="358010" first="Manuel" last="Miller"] might be the most athletic football player on this list. Outstanding physique that allows him to thrive in space when aligned at outside linebacker. 12 TFLs and 5 sacks recorded last Fall, two numbers that I’d bet will rise this coming Fall. Love Miller’s ability to run to the football, whether behind the play, hash to hash, sideline to sideline. Miller, who earned an FCS grade out of me, was recently offered by Gannon University.

[player_tooltip player_id="248171" first="Tolu" last="Awoyemi"] | 6’3, 200 | Interboro

Personally, [player_tooltip player_id="248171" first="Tolu" last="Awoyemi"]’s upcoming Fall season is quickly becoming one of the more anticipated campaigns I will watch this season. A dynamic defender who wants to punish ball carriers every chance he gets. Despite recruitment being as slow as it’s been for the senior, I still couldn’t help but give this kid a low FCS, high D2 grade. Awoyemi plays like his head is on fire, there isn’t a ball carrier in the state that this young man would shy away from, love the attitude and fearlessness he brings to the field. Everything just needs to add up to see recruiting results, time will tell.

[player_tooltip player_id="249229" first="Samuel" last="Ross"] | 6’3, 215 | La Salle College

[player_tooltip player_id="249229" first="Samuel" last="Ross"] is the epitome of a potential breakout player in the Philadelphia Catholic League. A full season of dominant play could net this kid an FBS offer, I think that highly of him. I was excited to see his name on the National Preps roster earlier this week, was disappointed I couldn’t see him blend of power and quickness live. The only justifiable reason for Ross not having offers would be his somewhat shaky tape. Shaky because of number of reps, not because of quality. I specifically remember Ross flying all over the field against St. Joseph’s Prep last season, that game put him squarely on our radar. This is a name that should blow up soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="248852" first="Dontae" last="Green"] | 6’4, 230 | Martin Luther King

[player_tooltip player_id="248852" first="Dontae" last="Green"] is a Philly name that is ready to blow up. I’ve heard it from the coaching staff at MLK, I’ve even heard it from other PPL coaches as well. Despite many departures, MLK has had their fair share of great talent across many positions, so much so that I have no problem attending a game to see the local talent for myself. I plan to do so this upcoming Fall, eyes will be set on Green and if he can be the premier pass rusher those around him believe he can be. He certainly looks the part, as does his tape. Sky is the limit
