The Pre-Season all state team is put together based on how each individual athlete is projected to do this coming fall, along with team success which plays heavily into the selection process. Have a look at the 6A Offense.
<strong>OFFENSE</strong>
<strong>1ST TEAM </strong>
QB [player_tooltip player_id="110178" first="Jack" last="Wagner"] 23’ Tualatin- Wagner has had one of the biggest off seasons of any athlete in Oregon. He has the potential to blow up with his size and unique combination of running and throwing ability.
QB [player_tooltip player_id="110171" first="Sam" last="Leavitt"] 23’ West Linn- The 3* athlete makes the move from Westview and will be expected to win as the QB of the state’s #1 projected team.
FB [player_tooltip player_id="205818" first="Noah" last="Staley"] 23’ Jesuit- Look for Staley to be a POY candidate on the defensive side of the ball and light some people up from his fullback spot. He could be one of the top FB’s in the nation.
RB [player_tooltip player_id="110209" first="Jordan" last="Fisher"] 23’ Westview- Speaking of big off seasons, Fisher has been unreal. His impressive performances on the camp circuit combined with 1,549 yards and 26 TDs from last year are part of the reason 1/2 the Big Sky has offered.
RB [player_tooltip player_id="152363" first="Nolen" last="Scott"] 24’ Sherwood- Scott projects as the overwhelming favorite for conference POY honors and all state accolades, after going for 1500 yards and double digit TDs as a sophomore. The Bowmen will be legit as well.
RB [player_tooltip player_id="205822" first="Payton" last="Roth"] 23’ Jesuit- Potentially the breakout player of the year this coming season after going down with injuries last year. He has legit size and speed and will be playing for a 6A title contender.
ATH [player_tooltip player_id="110180" first="Mark" last="Hamper"] 23’ West Linn- One of the only players in Oregon I have listed as a 1st team all state guy on both sides of the football. Statistically there are few who were better going for 1300 yards and 12 TDs on 85 touches (61 receptions), which included rushing for 11.4 yards per carry.
WR [player_tooltip player_id="147861" first="Luke" last="Leighton"] 23’ Sheldon- Leighton could go off in the fall, especially with [player_tooltip player_id="110187" first="Brock" last="Thomas"] leading a very talented Irish squad. At 6-5 he will require a consistent double team after catching 43 passes for 660 yards and 8 TDs as a Junior.
WR [player_tooltip player_id="152337" first="Wiley" last="Donnerberg"] 24’ West Linn- The only junior listed as a 1st team all-state guy on both sides of the football. Expect Donnerberg to be dominant and one of the top 24’s in the NW.
WR [player_tooltip player_id="206761" first="Andrew" last="Walker"] 23’ South Medford- This kid has blown up and should continue to do so, after winning the state title in the 100 meters (10.61) and earning 1st team all conference honors on both sides of the football as a Junior.
WR [player_tooltip player_id="152356" first="Joey" last="Olsen"] 24’ Lakeridge- Everyone knows the name while currently be ranked a 4* recruit and one of the top WR’s in the nation for his class. The Pacers will be in the title hunt to boot which will help with the accolades.
TE [player_tooltip player_id="152358" first="AJ" last="Pugliano"] 24’ North Medford- This will Pugliano’s chance to lead a good Black Tornado team. He has the offers, stars, and something to prove after earning 2nd team & honorable mention all SWC honors last season.
TE [player_tooltip player_id="152339" first="Jayden" last="Fortier"] 24’ Tualatin- Look for Fortier to break out as much as anybody. It will be incredibly tough to contain the 6-5 receiver, especially with all the talent at the skill positions for T-Wolves
OL [player_tooltip player_id="278369" first="Devin" last="Brooks"] 24’ Clackamas- Brooks is the real deal. His combination of size and fluidity already has half the PAC 12 in the mix as he could very well end up with some of the nation’s top programs adding to his offer sheet.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="205821" first="Kevin" last="Cassidy"] 23’ Mountainside- I like the Mavericks to be one of Oregon’s surprise teams this year as I could see them controlling the line of scrimmage with the state’s top line recruit for 2023 and a good supporting cast around him.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="206872" first="Stephen" last="Del Giudice"] 24’ West Linn- Look for Del Guidice to be a multi offer D1 kid and have a breakout Junior campaign after making the move from Grant. He started as a freshman and earned 1st team all PIL accolades as a freshman.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="206760" first="Ryan" last="Yakovich"] 23’ Sheldon- The Irish should be one of the top 6A teams in Oregon and Yakovich will be a leader up front. He earned 2nd team all SWC honors as a Junior and has done well over the off season.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="206763" first="Ryan" last="Berger"] 23’ Liberty- The Co-Offensive lineman of the year in the Pacific Conference should get a lot of attention this coming season, as Liberty is a top 10 bubble team with Berger impressing at 6-5 280.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="205817" first="Sean" last="Khouri"] 23’ Jesuit- Khouri’s not the biggest lineman but he’s incredibly tough and one of the most fundamentally sound kids in the region. He returns after a 1st team all-league season as a junior.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="206871" first="Terrell" last="Kim"] 24’ North Medford- The big man has had an outstanding off season after earning 1st team all conference honors as a Sophomore. A lot of the recognition and accolades will come down to how North does as a team.
C [player_tooltip player_id="238432" first="Roice" last="Cleeland"] 23’ Jesuit- The Crusaders will be tough to beat with the NWs top center, leading the state’s top O line. Jesuit should be able to control the tempo and dominate most up front with the likes of Cleeland.
