Nevertheless, they continued to relentlessly overcome the circumstances and perform at a high level.
Marcus Delafield, Davenport High School, 5-10 159 Class of 2022
Marcus has proved himself to be an extremely productive running back. In 2021 he averaged 6.0 yards per carry which is 2 yards more than the 2021 top NFL running backs. The patience and vision that Marcus utilizes while running the ball is what has allowed him to record 1,328 yards for the year. Being from a small school has certainly not stifled Marcus’ production as he seeks to be an impactful running back in every game. Wherever Marcus chooses to play collegiate football he is certain to be a playmaker.
Lane Johnson, Adna high School, 6-3 190 QB Class of 2024
Lane Johnson a one of a kind athlete. As an underclassman, Lane collected 1,000 multipurpose yards. Not only is this rare for athletes in Washington State but it is incredibly uncommon for first- and second-year students. The potential that Lane has shown up to this point is a clear testament to his potential as he continues to excel as an athlete. I would expect his numbers to drastically increase over the next few years. His current trajectory certainly makes him a prospect for D1 schools looking to bolster their roster.

Brenick Soliday, Davenport High School, 5-10 145 RB Class of 2023
Brenick is an efficient athlete who has had a productive season. He played the role of a wing running back in a W-T type system and made the most of every opportunity. Brenick scored 12 touchdowns on 92 carries for a total of 800 yards. He possesses the ability to run through tackles, find the open gap and make defenders miss in open space. Soliday’s skill set allows for him to be utilized in many different ways. An athlete like this is always a great addition to a team seeking to strengthen their run game. He will continue to be effective this next season and a prospect that college scouts should keep their eye on.
Preston Overberg, Asotin High School, 6-0 165 QB, Class of 2022
Preston is a well-rounded athlete. He participates in sports year-round and completed high school with a 4.0 GPA. His intelligence is seen in the way he commands the offense and reads defenses. Despite being from a small school Preston recorded 850+ all-purpose yards and 4 rushing touchdowns. It would be beneficial for D2 or D3 schools to add Overberg to their roster as he would serve as a great role player throughout his colligate career.
