James Cobb James Cobb 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Desert Mountain | 2024 State AZ , OL, Desert Mountain
Cobb’s skillset checks a lot of boxes with a combination of size, length, and athleticism. He’s a well-balanced 6’4” 270 lbs. with great growth potential in his frame to add weight. He shows natural movement skills and bend coming out of his stance and in his ability to be an effective blocker in space. Proves he can move his feet when working to the second level or pulling. He’s smart with his attack angles and positional leverage while adjusting on the fly to break down and hit a target. I like his active hands and powerful initial punch, he extends and is able to control defenders with just his hands. He’s tough and competitive and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him climbing rankings and recruiting boards if he continues on this trajectory.

Jacob Cortina Jacob Cortina 6'0" | 260 lbs | OL Desert Edge | 2024 State AZ , OL, Desert Edge
Strong and compact frame at 6’0” 275 lbs. built for an interior offensive lineman. He’s a high effort finisher that is violent and powerful at the POA. He possesses plus short area burst to quickly build forward momentum and explode his hips through contact finishing opponents to the ground. He uses his leverage/pad level to his advantage and generates power through his hands and lower half. His athleticism and lateral agility allow him to quickly get out of his stance and beat opponents to the spot to gain positioning prior to contact. He’s a bully on the interior that shows good instincts and awareness to adjust as the play develops. Voted first team all-region as a sophomore, he’s part of a loaded Desert Edge roster.

Christian Hunter Christian Hunter 6'4" | 265 lbs | OL Shadow Ridge | 2024 AZ , OL, Shadow Ridge
Hunter possesses great positional versatility to play multiple spots on the line. At 6’4” 260 lbs. he’s got a lean frame with room to add weight as he develops and matures. He flashes good feet, bend, and flexibility with a strong anchor/base. He plays under control with limited wasted movement and good contact balance at the POA. Effective hand usage and placement, he gets good extension and is quick to reposition to sustain his block through the whistle. He’s patient and responds well to defenders movement to recover and maintain positioning. He’s raw but the potential and size are there for him to build off of.
