As a scout, I am on a constant lookout for new names to send to college coaches, often coming across kids with great talent or measurables. Often times, many prospects look the part but have yet to put out substantial production on tape, whatever the reason might be. In this piece, we will highlight some prospects who are ready to breakout this upcoming Fall! [player_tooltip player_id="358429" first="Josh" last="Young"] | 6’5, 200 | Abington Newly added [player_tooltip player_id="358429" first="Josh" last="Young"] caught my eye late in my tape watching session this past week. The tape is raw and limited, but not because of any deficiencies on Young’s end. His size immediately pops, you’re going to get intrigue from coaches if you can catch passes at 6’5, 200. His route tree is pretty limited to hitches, slants and screens at the line of scrimmage, more than likely because of the way the offense is constructed. I would personally love to see how well he runs, a deciding factor if he pursues football at the next level. Hoping for a breakout season out of this young man. [player_tooltip player_id="249230" first="Zymil" last="Lee"] | 6’3, 215 | Northeast [player_tooltip player_id="249230" first="Zymil" last="Lee"] is yet another giant wideout who’s tape may not be as long as some coaches would like. Again, this doesn’t seem to be to any fault of Lee, rather than the offense deciding to attack on the ground rather than through the air. Incredible high-pointing ability. Northeast deploys Lee in a myriad of ways, his route tree isn’t too one-dimensional. With an impressive production this Fall, I could see Lee’s stock go through the roof by November. [player_tooltip player_id="358337" first="Brendan" last="Dougherty"] | 6’5, 210 | Sun Valley New addition to the rankings. [player_tooltip player_id="358337" first="Brendan" last="Dougherty"] is a relatively unknown name, that’s the impression I got when asking coaches that I am close with. Won’t be for long if this young man puts forth a great senior campaign. I’m unfamiliar with the offensive system ran at Sun Valley HS, nonetheless, targets headed his way are sure to be in his radius. The 6’5 target apparently has a 4.50 40 time under his belt. Anything close to that number will have coaches knocking on the door very soon. https://twitter.com/coachsteinmetz/status/1534862016493629444?s=20&t=u4_TINR47pjinKRpfUo8Ww [player_tooltip player_id="140965" first="Malachi" last="Moore"] | 5’11, 210 | Gateway While [player_tooltip player_id="140965" first="Malachi" last="Moore"]’s ranking may have dropped, those interested in him at the next level still think of him the same way. I wouldn’t mind labelling this young man as an "ATH", considering how he looks like a running back with a pair of legitimately great hands. Prospects like this inevitably find a home at the next level because of their overall versatility, I just know a breakout season from this kid is on the horizon. Hoping it happens. [player_tooltip player_id="358263" first="Nahki" last="Bullock"] | 5’10, 160 | Parkland Parkland’s Nakhi Bullock, a new addition to the rankings, has all the potential in the world to boost his stock this Fall. I personally gave Bullock a Division II grade, while seeing that this kid has the makings to raise that grade. The Dual-Sport athlete has real track star speed that shows on both sides of the football, either at wideout or at defensive back. A monster year representing Parkland could be in his future, the young man is having an outstanding offseason already. https://twitter.com/nakhibullock_10/status/1535677437459177474?s=20&t=u4_TINR47pjinKRpfUo8Ww [player_tooltip player_id="248129" first="Ibn" last="Shaheed"] | WR | Bishop McCort [player_tooltip player_id="248129" first="Ibn" last="Shaheed"] might be the first prospect on this list whose tape isn’t necessarily lacking production in anyway. We scored Shaheed with a DII grade, his spot on this list is more of a wait-and-see deal. We think his recruitment should already be beginning to heat up, I have a feeling things will be different in November after what I believe will be a stellar Fall out of Shaheed. Patience will be key. [player_tooltip player_id="358116" first="Marcus" last="Sweeney"] | 6’2, 195 | Hershey Saw Sweeney make play after play following a look at his QB’s tape. Sweeney’s tape impressed, making him a no-brainer to add to the updated rankings list. His debut was a modest one, yet we believe and monster season could be on the horizon for the Hershey dual-sport athlete. From what I can tell, recruitment has been slow. Another year of production might be what coaches at the next level are waiting on. [player_tooltip player_id="358114" first="Michael" last="Beiersdorf"] | 6’2, 195 | Mt. Lebanon The highest-ranking prospect on this list is a new addition and a champion. [player_tooltip player_id="358114" first="Michael" last="Beiersdorf"]’s name might be ready to blow up further than it already has. Beiersdorf isn’t just size at the wide receiver position, the champion can also provide reps at safety and serve as the team’s punter as well. I don’t hear about this young man enough, hoping a breakout season will help his recruitment trend in the right direction.
