I am very impressed by the talent in this quarterback class. With offenses becoming more spread out and reliant on a quarterback who can throw and run it is important to have one who can do both. Get an early look at which quarterbacks take the top spot for key traits. I am a big fan of all these guys and look forward to seeing them play this upcoming season.
Most Accurate- [player_tooltip player_id="30316" first="Dante" last="Moore"] | Hudl
Moore is a very accurate passer. He throws a very tight spiral and puts good touch on the football. On deep balls, Moore has the ability to put the football where only his guy can get the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="30316" first="Dante" last="Moore"] is a very accurate thrower under pressure as well. He never seems to be bothered by pressure from the outside or up the middle. Moore is a great athlete as well and his play the past few seasons has been outstanding. With that being said, he comes in as my most accurate passer in the 2023 class of quarterbacks.
Best Scrambler- [player_tooltip player_id="186875" first="Brady" last="Drogosh"] | Hudl
Drogosh has great size at 6-5, 205 lbs. He has good quickness and long speed. Drogosh has a good feel for when the pocket is collapsing and can scramble up the middle for big yardage. He has the speed to break 40-plus yard runs for touchdowns. [player_tooltip player_id="186875" first="Brady" last="Drogosh"] does not just scramble to run he will scramble to extend plays and make big-time throws downfield. he is very good at running the read option and can pick up good yardage with his quickness. I am a big fan of his game overall and love the competitiveness he plays with. He will come in as the best scrambler in the class in my opinion.
Strongest Arm- [player_tooltip player_id="30322" first="Drew" last="Viotto"] | Hudl
Viotto can really put a ton of zip on the football. I love the way he can step up into the pocket and throw a strike over the middle. Viotto has the ability to throw from different arm angles. Viotto throws very well rolling out to his right as well. Viotto throws a beautiful deep ball and can throw deep accurately under pressure. He has a smooth throwing motion and also throws a tight spiral. Viotto takes my top spot for strongest arm in the 2023 class.
Most Comfortable in The Pocket- [player_tooltip player_id="30330" first="Robert" last="Lalain"] | Hudl
Lalain has a very fluid dropback. I love that he is not afraid to sit in the pocket and take hits while throwing the ball. Lalain has a great arm and can throw from different arm angles. Lalain does a great job of running the option calmly and effectively. You can tell that [player_tooltip player_id="30330" first="Robert" last="Lalain"] has played a lot of football and you have to believe that the game has slowed down a lot for him. Lalain does a good job of releasing the ball quicker when the pressure comes in quickly. I really like his throwing motion and he does a good job of following through on all his throws. Lalain comes in as the most comfortable in the pocket.
