Yesterday, we took a look at group of senior-to-be running backs who are getting overlooked on the recruiting trail. Today, we pick that up again with another group of promising prospects in the backfield.

[player_tooltip player_id="199327" first="Kyle" last="Turanchick"] is a bruiser who can be a solid running back or fullback. Turanchick can line up in a three-point stance. He runs with purpose and physicality. Turanchick can absorb contact and stay on his feet. In particular, he uses the stiff arm effectively when getting away from tacklers. Turanchick does a nice job of bouncing outside. When he gets into space, he is capable of accelerating and running away from defenders. Turanchick also lines up as an outside linebacker on the defensive side of the ball. At that spot last year, he recorded 46 tackles with seven tackles-for-loss and three sacks. He further contributed to the team by adding one pass defense and one fumble recovery.

[player_tooltip player_id="300406" first="Jorge" last="Vasquez"] showed a lot of promise as a junior. Now as he gears up for the 2022 season, a big year appears to be on the cards. Last season, Vasquez toted the rock 40 times for 219 rushing yards and one touchdown. Vasquez proved himself to be a viable option as a receiver by catching seven passes for 105 yards. Defensively, Vasquez is a solid cornerback. He posted 39 tackles and one fumble recovery, a season ago. Vasquez can be impactful as a kickoff returner, as well. He is coming off a season that saw him garner 302 yards on 11 kickoff returns.

[player_tooltip player_id="185241" first="Ty’Shaun" last="Grundy"] is a physically-imposing running back for South Bend Washington. Grundy runs behind his pads, and when he gets a head of steam, he becomes immensely difficult to tackle. Grundy routinely bounces off defenders and keeps his legs moving. Grundy runs downhill, making him particularly dangerous in short yardage situations. In his junior season, Grundy compiled 563 rushing yards on his 69 carries. He ran for five touchdowns, and in a trio of games this season, Grundy had 100 or more yards on the ground. Grundy is a force in the defensive front seven, as well. He can line up as a middle linebacker or defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id="185240" first="Eli" last="Carter"] is the tone-setter for Tipton. Carter has great vision. He can see the hole open up, as well as any cut-back lanes. He also displays great patience. On runs off-tackle, Carter can continue to stretch the run out to the edge as he looks for an opening. Carter is a versatile prospect. He can make plays as a kickoff returner and cornerback. Last year, Carter accumulated 1,607 rushing yards. He ran for an incredible 28 touchdowns. Carter hit the triple digits in rushing yards in nine different games. On the other side of the ball, Carter recorded 40 tackles with one tackle-for-loss, a pair of interceptions and four passes defensed. On top of his ability to return kickoffs, Carter has punting experience.

[player_tooltip player_id="268734" first="Noah" last="Boutsomsy"] is a matchup problem for defenses. Boutsomsy has been showcasing his abilities at camps this summer such as Ball State, Purdue and Notre Dame. At those camps, Boutsomsy excelled and managed to put a lot on tape. He is a versatile prospect. On top of what he can do in the ground-game, Boutsomsy is a viable receiver. He is outstanding out of the backfield. Boutsomsy is a tough player for linebackers to cover one-on-one due to his route-running skills and athleticism. He is dependable when securing the catch. [player_tooltip player_id="268734" first="Noah" last="Boutsomsy"] is an X-fatcor, ready to have a breakout senior season.
