2023 Class: Biggest Risers

<p>As we look at the 2023 class rankings we take a look at the players who made the biggest jump in the rankings:</p> <p><strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id="367564" first="Joshua" last="Richards"], East Orange</strong></p> <p>Standing at a legit 6’4 175 he’s a difference-maker on both sides of the football. Where he does most of his damage, is at wide receiver. A long-limbed player who has a massive catch radius and excels at winning in 50/50 situations. The most impressive part of his game is what he can do after the catch. He has highlights of him using his elusiveness to force missed tackles or lowering his shoulders to go through defenders. He shows much physicality for a player with his build and size. Richards goes from not on the list to making the top ten. A versatile defensive back who can make a difference in run defense and make plays in pass defense in zone or man. He can also cover slot receivers and has great ball skills. Where he separates himself is the way he can carry routes in zone coverage better than any defensive back in this class. If there is a quarterback in this class who can literally do everything Douglas is your guy. He has the accuracy and plays out of structure that suggests he can put up gaudy numbers. He has the best arm talent of any quarterback in the class and is one of the most athletic prospects regardless of position.
