Find out made it in Part II!
Jacob Wills | WR/FS | Rochester Century (MN) | 2024
Jacob was a wide receiver prospect that was quite impressive with his hips, being able to change directions I thought very quickly despite the tougher elements weather wise at River Falls. Jacob also has a ton of length as a 6’4 incoming junior and when you roll his tape from his JV year, you see the glimpses of potential pop out. He provides a lengthy wingspan that can make eye-popping catches in higher traffic areas mostly coming out of the slot. He shows off a sizeable frame that doesn’t just look the part, plays with a chip on his shoulder. I can see this young man being a huge asset to the Panthers as he enters the varsity ranks this season.
Nolen Volner Nolen Volner 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB North Branch | 2025 State MN | RB/OLB | North Branch (MN) | 2025
Nolen was one of the quickest younger running back prospects thru the bags I caught in drills at UW-River Falls. He showed open elusive hips that accelerated with a strong burst thru the point of attack from what I watched from eyes. Not just a small RB prospect either, as Nolen came into River Falls with a solid 6’1 180 pound athletic frame. No tape on this young man as of yet, but certainly one I will be keeping tabs on from just outside the north Metro.
Levi White | DB/WR | Augusta (WI) | 2023
Levi was another prospect that turned the corner once we got outside at UW-River Falls. His athletic ability around the corners in the Indy drills is what made him catch my eyes as he showed elusiveness in those turns on the slippery turf. Levi will need to depend on his senior season to create a buzz with his tape, as I love the skillsets and grade A character this young man has to hopefully get some small school programs attention around NW Wisconsin.
Cam Cortright Cam Cortright 6'2" | 240 lbs | DL Wayzata | 2023 MN | DE/OG | Wayzata (MN) | 2023
Cam was one of two defensive ends on this list that made noise as standouts from the UW-River Falls prospect camp. He showed very solid hands and could get off very quickly off his blocks and proceed into the backfield with loaded physicality to match. I thought Cam’s agility coming from the edge has gotten stronger from his 2021 tape, and I like the size, wingspan, and high-level character this young man has. Cam also brings a athletic bend from the start of his reps which really sets the tone for his fighting hands rep after rep.
Lana Odumuaiye | DE | Simley (MN) | 2023
Lana was very impressive in 1v1s drills, as he showed a strong get off the snap when it was his turn to shine on the defensive line at the UW-River Falls prospect camp. His quickness in his hands is what stood out to me most, as he even when he’s got his hands on somebody, he has the athleticism to reach out in the other direction and wreak havoc especially with the quarterback in the backfield. He is not the biggest defensive end (6’3 200) but the motor on this kid is nothing you want to mess with as that speed off the snap and the longevity he shows on each play is very impressive to watch. Also has an impressive reach and physicality when you grind the tape on this young man. Lana certainly has the tools to play on Saturdays and I certainly may need to make a trip out to Inver Grove Heights to get my eyes on this young man for his senior season.
Cole Heilbrun | QB | Wayzata (MN) | 2024
Talk about a young man that has had a heck of an offseason, college coaches building their boards in 2024 need to take a look at Wayzata’s Cole Heilbrun. Cole showed off his handful of eye-opening throws from all three levels of the field as he showed a smooth demeanor in the pocket, a precise arm, and plenty of arm strength to get his wide receivers what they need to succeed on their routes. I can tell this young man has been working this offseason, as he has more developed touch on his ball from what I saw earlier this month vs. looking into his sophomore tape, and it is quite noticeable to see thru. Cole has sound mobility that has even more growth in the works when you watch his balance on tape, which too has seen some growth from what I watched at UW-River Falls. He has blossomed at a few camps already this summer, and I am excited to see how he connects deeper into the college camp season over the next month and a half.
