Under The Radar Defensive Prospects: Spring Edition

There are some good prospects that should all be getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.         [player_tooltip player_id="128721" first="Lucas" last="Mielke"], LB- Calvary Christian Academy c/o 23 6’1 215lbs Mielke is a really talented linebacker and defensive leader for Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale. He’s the team’s leading returning tackler with 78. He also chipped in with 8 tackles for loss. Mielke also had an 18 tackle game against Cardinal Gibbons this past season. Versatile linebacker that packs a wallop, shows good short-area quickness and speed against the run or in coverage, solid wrap up tackler. Has good size/speed combo that you’re looking for at the linebacker position. He’s also an outstanding student with a 4.4 GPA! He finished second on the team last season with 77 tackles, eight tackles for loss, three sacks, two ints, and two forced fumbles. He’s a linebacker / safety hybrid type player, flashes physicality for his size and plays with a high-motor, could possibly move to safety at the next level. He’s a good student with a 3.2 GPA. He’s the team’s leading returning tackler with 77. He also chipped in with an incredible 20 tackles for loss, two sacks, and 4 QB hurries. He’s a fluid mover with outstanding speed and burst to the football, smart with his key and diagnose ability, has outstanding sideline-to-sideline range. He registered 75 tackles, and outstanding 15 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and 3 ints along with 2 forced fumbles. He plays downhill and is a solid tackler, playmaker, and is very versatile. He’s definitely a player coaches should check out this upcoming season. Hughes is also an unbelievable student with a 3.89 GPA and a 1320 SAT score!
