The Tennessee Future Stars are still on the hunt for who will complete their roster to beat their rivals the Kentucky Future Stars. At Grace Christian Academy on Saturday lots of prospects came out to showcase their talent. Here is a look inside the standouts in the running back and linebacker positions.
Cole Scraggs Cole Scraggs 5'7" | 155 lbs | RB Knoxville Catholic | 2027 TN | Running Back | 2027
Scraggs set the bar high in Knoxville on Saturday. The elusiveness he demonstrated will be key when faced with traffic. He could change direction and position simultaneously while staying focused. He was able to make crisp and clean cuts that will be guaranteed to make defenders miss. His speed and ability to gain ground when the football was in his hands will set him up nicely this fall.
Jayzon Thompson | Running Back | 2026
Thompson had great instincts and the ability to get up the field. When the ball was in his hand there was no hesitation in his next move. He had strong bursts and could propel his body forward before the opening closes in the play. Physically he has the stature of a running back and can compete at a high level of physicality amongst most linebackers.
Yashan Campbell | Linebacker/ Running Back | 2026
Campbell stood out amongst the group for his size and physicality. When put on the defensive side of the ball he was not afraid to be shy of contact. He moved his feet well and was able to make sharp cuts juking out defenders with the ball in his hands. His speed and agility did not go unnoticed when going up against others in his field.

Had a great head on his shoulders expressing a great understanding of vision and awareness. He was able to make reads when running routes with the football in his hands. He has a drive and passion for the game and it shows in the effort he puts into each play. He is quite tall but still can stay low and drive the football down the field.
