Even though they lost to national power Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas, 42-14, on their “home turf”, the magical season was one to remember for this team – as they made history, becoming the first team in school history to reach the finals. With wins over Plant City (34-0), Lutz Steinbrenner (53-30), Tampa Hillsborough (14-7), Tampa Gaither (28-14), Seffner Armwood (34-26), Lithia Newsome (21-9), Wesley Chapel Wiregrass Ranch (34-12), Tampa Wharton (21-12), Dover Strawberry Crest (51-9) and Tampa Chamberlain (49-0) in the regular season, this program established themselves as not only a power in Hillsborough County, but one of the elite teams in the state. State playoff wins against Largo (30-7), Palmetto (26-18), Wharton (42-6) and Lakeland Lake Gibson (42-24) got the Titans ready for the state title game. As the summer begins, a lot is expected in 2022 from a program that is still among the best in the Sunshine State.
