New players emerged in the latest update, and there are plenty of rising sophomore wide receivers who are starting to make a name for themselves across Georgia. Here are some wide-outs who have seen their stock rise in recent weeks and in the latest 2025 Prep Redzone Georgia Rankings.
Nick Brooks Nick Brooks 6'8" | 330 lbs | OL Buford | 2025 GA – St. Francis
A MASSIVE offensive tackle prospect at just 15 years old, Brooks is a giant of a lineman at 6-foot-8 330-pounds. As young as he is, his overall size and overall strength have him set up for a dominant sophomore season this fall. Ranked as the No. 8 prospect in Georgia and the No. 2 offensive tackle prospect, Brooks has D1 size, and as he continues to get his body and physical endurance in great shape, has a chance to be one of the nation’s best over the next several seasons. If he develops and listens to the impressive St. Francis staff, Brooks could push for 5-star status down the road. He can overpower defenders with his size and strength, so he’ll be able to open plenty of holes in the running game. He still needs to work on becoming an elite pass protector, but he has a great chance to make it happen if he reaches his full potential. just a rising sophomore, Brooks already holds early offers from Penn State, Ole Miss, Louisville, among others. He’s a top prospect to keep an eye on over the next three years.
Cortez Smith Cortez Smith 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Parkview | 2025 State GA – Parkview
A former middle school star, Smith has been dominant his entire life and really impressed as a freshman last fall, showing the ability to snap well while playing physical for someone his age. The 6-foot-4 275-pounder has great size and raw strength already for his age, and he’s only going to get better as he develops more over time. He played against some tough 7A competition all year and held his own at a very early age. The interior guard is tough, shows good lower body strength, and proved to be a reliable run blocker last fall in just his first season. He made it look easy at times, which makes his freshman season even more impressive. It’s easy to see his potential, and he’s only going to get better. Smith is ranked as the No. 14 prospect in Georgia and the No. 3 OL prospect in the newest 2024 Prep Redzone Rankings.
Juan Gaston Jr. Juan Gaston Jr. 6'7" | 330 lbs | OL Westlake | 2025 State GA – Westlake
Another physically massive offensive lineman in the 2025 class, Gaston can overpower opposing defenders using his natural strength and overall size. At 6-foot-8 340-pounds, Gaston already has D1 size, and if he transforms his body to continue adding muscle and slimming down overall, he has a chance to be one of the best OT prospects in the South. He appears to have quick feet for his size, and he knows how to put defenders on their back. He’s reliable in pass protection for someone his age, and he’ll only get better and better there. He can collapse the edge defender in the run game, allowing the back to have plenty of room to run on the outside. He’s a first-guy-off-the-bus type, and he has a chance to dominate as a sophomore this fall. Gaston is now ranked as the No. 15 prospect in Georgia and the No. 4 OL prospect in the newest Prep Redzone Rankings.
Dontrell Glover Dontrell Glover 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Langston Hughes | 2025 State GA – Left Tackle – Langston Hughes
An impressive young tackle prospect from the Atlanta-area, Glover moves really well for his size, and he has plenty of it at 6-foot-3 290-pounds. He attacks the defender in the run game and does a nice job of pushing his opponent backwards on a consistent basis. He bends well and shows impressive footwork for someone his age. He also knows how to get to the 2nd level and get to the linebacker. He’s still raw, as most young players are, but he started every game at left tackle last season as a freshman and is seeing offers come his way. Glover has a wide base, thick, powerful legs, and he has natural strength in the upper body. As he develops technically and physically, Glover has a chance to climb higher and higher in the 2025 rankings. He holds offers from Central Florida, Georgia Tech, and many more are likely on the way. Glover is ranked as the No. 23 prospect in the state and the No. 7 OL prospect in the new Prep Redzone Rankings.
