There’s no shortage of talent in SCISA football from the Class of 2023, and our newly published rankings agree. Here are the top rising seniors that are set to impress on the field this fall.
[player_tooltip player_id="89346" first="Hudson" last="Spivey"], QB, 6-4, 215 pounds, Pee Dee Academy
Leading the way in the SCISA ranks, [player_tooltip player_id="89346" first="Hudson" last="Spivey"] is ready to build on a dynamite junior campaign at Pee Dee Academy. The signal-caller shredded his SCISA 2A competition in 2021, completing a stellar 66.2% of his passes while maintaining a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 27:6. His quick release and accuracy on throws downfield is excellent, and he possesses solid speed and mobility to escape the pocket and rack up extra yards. Spivey has proven his ability to read and attack defenses at the high school level and should continue to raise his stock during his senior season.
[player_tooltip player_id="262691" first="Matt" last="Warren"], TE, 6-6, 225 pounds, Trinity Collegiate
A potent weapon at tight end for a high-powered Trinity Collegiate offense, [player_tooltip player_id="262691" first="Matt" last="Warren"] made impacts all across the field in 2021. With a towering frame at 6-foot-6, Warren is a superb route runner who uses his strength and athleticism to dominate his matchups. His power and footwork on the outside allow him to thrive as a run blocker and create open seams for his offense. Warren has become a go-to target for the Titans and should be one of the most valuable talents across SCISA football this fall.
[player_tooltip player_id="332696" first="Juw-el" last="Huntley"], ATH, 6-0, 165 pounds, Florence Christian
The elder brother of a dynamic sibling duo over at Florence Christian, [player_tooltip player_id="332696" first="Juw-el" last="Huntley"] has emerged as a do-it-all playmaker for the Eagles. The dual-threat quarterback is an explosive and agile runner who has begun to improve his skills through the air. Huntley can make efficient reads under center and can take off downfield at any moment with his potent athleticism. One of the most versatile offensive weapons in SCISA, Huntley will be a marquee player to watch for the Eagles in his senior year.
[player_tooltip player_id="263157" first="Will" last="Helmadollar"], LB, 6-3, 200 pounds, Ben Lippen
A two-way standout for Ben Lippen, [player_tooltip player_id="263157" first="Will" last="Helmadollar"] is looking primed for an excellent 2022 season. The talented defensive end and outside linebacker was a force all across the Falcon defense last year, using his impressive strength and motor to break into the backfield. He has a quick reaction off the snap and plays with a relentless intensity whether on defense or special teams. A dedicated worker on and off the field, Helmadollar’s strength, quickness, and tackling skills will make him a name to watch as he closes out his high school career.
