Here are the best of the best, offensive and defensive 1st-team selections from our Prep Redzone Prospect Camp this past weekend. Many names were left out of both 1st and 2nd teams.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Quarterbacks</strong></span>

<li><em><strong>Billy Smith | 5’11, 160 | Cedar Creek | 2024</strong></em></li>
<li><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91723" first="LeBryn" last="Smith"] | 6’4, 180 | Kiski Area | 2023</strong></em></li>
</ol>
Billy Smith, a Cedar Creek prospect out of NJ, was far and above the best quarterback in attendance. This was my first time seeing this kid live, I wasn’t expecting the sophomore to tear through this camp with ease. Smith didn’t necessarily test out of his mind, I am not looking for quarterbacks to test well. I want to see poise, confidence and swagger from any quarterback thrown into a camp setting. Smith showed that and more. Sound delivery, Smith was smooth and accurate during individuals. He took his play up a notch during 1v1s, proving time and time again that he could hit guys in stride downfield effortlessly. Smith worked every area of the field but made sure to show off his deep ball accuracy, which blew coaches away along with myself. Big fan of this young man.
[player_tooltip player_id="91723" first="LeBryn" last="Smith"] earns a spot on the first team for many of the same reasons Smith did. Mechanically sound, can put some real heat and torque on balls in the short/intermediate areas. I can’t help but see LeBryn for the complete package that he is, which effected his selection in a good way. I know how much he can provide a football team, to see him excel this way at quarterback is just the cherry on top.

<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Running Backs</strong></span>
<ol>
<li><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248806" first="Markus" last="Barnett"] | Neshaminy | 2023</strong></em></li>
<li><em><strong>Eli Weikle | 5’7, 165 | Muncy | 2023</strong></em></li>
</ol>
Really happy to see both of these names up here. Both players are often overlooked because of their size. Both players are often overlooked because of where they play. None of the outside noise mattered at this event, as Barnett & Weikle each showed they can do more than hold their own. I applaud both of these young men for coming out and showing what they are capable of to the many college coaches in attendance. Each proved they can contribute as pass catchers which is an area I will keep my eyes on when watching both of these young men develop. Sky is the limit.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Wide Receivers</strong></span>
<ol>
<li><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="140945" first="Kylon" last="Wilson"] | 5’9, 170 | Farrell | 2023</strong></em></li>
<li><em><strong>Armase Edouard | 5’8 | Central (RI) | 2023</strong></em></li>
<li><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="281314" first="Noah" last="Kracyla"] | 5’11, 175 | Middletown | 2023</strong></em></li>
</ol>
[player_tooltip player_id="140945" first="Kylon" last="Wilson"] and Armase Edouard were undoubtedly the two best wide receivers in this camp. Should be noted that Wilson also excels at DB while Edouard can contribute at running back if need be. You can argue that both of these young men tested better than damn near every prospect in attendance. As far as their WR performances, Wilson’s speed is unmatched, which says something considering multiple prospects ran a sub 4.5 at this event. Wilson’s stem ability and burst off the LOS leaves defenders guessing, his acceleration often leads kids in the dust. Incredible balance and is equally as deadly coming across the middle and moving laterally. Both of these prospects understand how to use their speed to their advantage. Much like I saw at the NextGen camp, Edouard showed off outstanding route running ability. His ability to burst off the line and stop on a dime is awesome to watch. His stop and start ability rivals some of the best WRs in the state. He displayed good body control throughout the entirety of his routes. Somewhat of a surprise was [player_tooltip player_id="281314" first="Noah" last="Kracyla"], who also tested well. Noah’s game is new to me. I was intrigued by the blend of athleticism and physicality he showed throughout the camp.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Offensive Line</strong></span>
<ol>
<li><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id="256156" first="Kevin" last="Towns"] | 6’4, 305 | Archbishop Wood | 2024</em></strong></li>
<li><strong><em>Irvin Briggs IV | 6’4, 260 | Holy Trinity | 2023</em></strong></li>
<li><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id="248764" first="Declan" last="Aikens"] | 6’1, 260 | Danville | 2023</em></strong></li>
<li><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id="66058" first="Cole" last="Evans"] | 6’2, 300 | Archbishop Wood | 2023</em></strong></li>
<li><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id="255048" first="Justin" last="Kutcher"] | 6’1, 265 | Danville | 2024</em></strong></li>
</ol>
The offensive line group was without question the best group of any position at this camp. So much so we had to choose 10 names as standouts as opposed to the normal 5. Each of the names listed above receive an FCS-floor grade from me. Was truly a blessing to watch these kids go after it. Again, teammates [player_tooltip player_id="255048" first="Justin" last="Kutcher"] and [player_tooltip player_id="248764" first="Declan" last="Aikens"] both showed up and proved to be worthy of the hype I build around them. The Danville kids showed the same motor and anger they showed us in January. I can speak for hours on how much these two impress me. I am just happy to see the coaches in attendance agree with me. Two studs. Next were the Wood teammates, [player_tooltip player_id="256156" first="Kevin" last="Towns"] and [player_tooltip player_id="66058" first="Cole" last="Evans"]. Both of these young men are deserving of G5/P5 offers, was nice to validate that in person. The hold up in Evans recruiting is a little head-scratching but it will play out in his favor in the end. [player_tooltip player_id="256156" first="Kevin" last="Towns"] recently picked up a Liberty offer, that’s just the beginning for that kid.
Last but not least, we have Irvin Briggs IV, who could have easily been a top-performing defensive linemen if he wanted to perform on that side of the ball. Briggs registered a whopping 4.78 40 time, very impressive for a 250-pound linemen. This kid’s tape is power-five, his performance was power-five, all we need is some light to be shined in his direction. He earned that at our camp.
