Today’s piece is brought to you by the GameChanger mobile team communication app. We analyzed the top offensive performers from Saturday’s showcase at Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We had some blazing forty-yard dash times and found some major sleepers from multiple states. With that being said, here’s who stood out!
QB
Cody Pagach Cody Pagach 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Alcoa | 2024 State TN , 6’3″, 170, Independence, 2024
All-day long, Pagach showed clean footwork, terrific timing, and pinpoint accuracy. He was consistent during the 1 on 1 portion of the event and easily fit the football into tight windows. He showed solid arm strength to air it out vertically downfield and the touch to hit his target right in stride.
Alex McAlpin, 6’, 180, St. Benedict, 2025 (QB MVP)
A young gunslinger with a quick release and a tight spiral. Alex is dependable, throwing off-platform, and has enough arm strength to throw a field-side out. To me, he’s at his best in a wide-open spread offense where he can get the ball out swiftly and use his athleticism to extend & create chunk plays.
Brian Rager Brian Rager 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Liberty Creek | 2024 State TN , 6’3″, 195, Beech, 2024
A strong thrower on the move who can add another dimension as a runner. Rager tested well, clocking a 4.75 40-yard dash, along with a 4.26 short shuttle and a 9’3″ in the broad jump. He excels as a catch one-two thrower and showed steady ball placement all afternoon.
RB
Ty Clark, 5’11″, 180, Franklin Road Academy, 2024 (RB MVP)
A sure-handed back with good change of direction. Clark is a precise route runner who was dominant during the competition period and 1 on 1’s. He displayed compact footwork during individual drills and plenty of creativity in space.
Tyson Wolcott, 5’8″, 160, Friendship Christian, 2024
A smaller back that has an energizer bunny-type running style. Tyson can stick his foot in the dirt and get to his second gear in an instant. He was a polished route runner during 1 on 1’s and proved to be a natural hands catcher.
WR/TE
Robert Riley, 6’, 170, Clarksville, 2023 (WR/TE MVP)
Riley was cooking on Saturday, clocking a 4.47 in the 40-yard dash. He showed no wasted steps at the top of his route and looked the football all the way into the tuck. His feet were like a ballerina against press as he easily made his way on his route, stacking the defender once he got on top of him.
Brock Montgomery Brock Montgomery 6'3" | 205 lbs | WR Riverdale | 2024 State TN , 6’2″, 190, Friendship Christian, 2024
A phenomenal route runner who can go up and get the football. Brock clocked a 4.43 in the forty-yard dash and dazzled during 1 on 1’s with filthy routes. He’s a small school kid with excellent body control and can make acrobatic catches on poorly thrown balls.
Rodney Broadnax Rodney Broadnax 6'5" | 210 lbs | ATH Cleveland | 2023 State TN , 6’2″, 205, Cleveland, 2023
A competitor who can take the top off any defense. Rodney is a major vertical threat with fantastic deep ball tracking ability. He easily plucks the football out of the air and uses his frame to box out smaller defensive backs.
OL
Zach Turk
Zach
Turk
6'3" | 285 lbs | OL
Oakland | 2023
State
TN
, 6’3″, 275, Oakland, 2023 (OL MVP)
A dominant performance during 1-on-1’s earned Zach the OL MVP award. He showed outstanding patience, a strong anchor, and the ability to redirect laterally. I was quite impressed by his body control under duress, willingness to be coached, and consistent hand placement.
Max Kidd, 6’2″, 260, Father Ryan, 2024
A quick-footed interior prospect who can play guard or center. Kidd is a smooth mover with a clean vertical pass set. His punch is compact and has some pop behind it to jolt defenders. He’s a hard man to get away from once he gets his mitts on you and he shows a heavy inside hand.
Spence Tankerskley, 6’5″, 285, Forrest, 2024
A violent run blocker during individual who plays with great knee bend. Spence has the size you look for in a tackle prospect and has a nasty style of play. He blazed a 4.54 and a 4.65 in the shuttle to go with an 8’10″ in the broad jump. He should be someone to keep an eye on this fall.
