Carter Coulter Carter Coulter 5'8" | 180 lbs | RB Germantown | 2023 State WI | RB | Germantown | 2023
Carter stuck out very early in my eyes as a twitchy tailback that had zero issue with his mobility from side to side. He also showed significant vision in the reps I got in 1v1s and Indy drills to turn the page quickly when bouncing out into his route-running ability. Turn on the tape of this young man, you see some considerable durability from the start of his run. Carter might be 5’8 180 pounds, but he has a developed lower body that can power thru heavy amounts of contact and keeps his balance solid. If you want a running back that will fight for every yard he can get, Carter is a next level prospect I would take a look at for sure.
Matt McBride Matt McBride 5'8" | 170 lbs | RB Holmen | 2023 State WI | RB | Holmen | 2023
Matt was another early riser at our Prep Redzone Wisconsin Showcase, as I caught his game in full swing early in the 40 yard dash. This young man has an impressive get off and with some development on finishing his burst, he clocked some solid times in the reps I got to watch, and showed off some a vast finishing ability at the end. You can see on tape that Matt is a hard-nosed runner that hits the d-gap with solid aggression and added power. Despite his smaller size, his power he shows from his lower body, it’s easy to tell this kid loves the weight room as it takes an army to bring him down with the last bit of contact. Matt is a very physical runner that in my eyes looks like an under the radar prospect due for a big senior season at Holmen.
James Sutter | RB | Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023
In the reps I got to watch from James, the one word that comes to mind is swift, as he showed some an energetic ability when turning his hips in Indy reps. James is another RB prospect on this list, where I liked how he finished his reps with growth from the start of the rep. James is an efficient a-gap tailback that is given some massive holes to open up his hips on tape and just get out there and take it to the second level. He also starts off with a low-stance which really draws up his vision to from the start of the play. He shows that athleticism I mentioned with his swift hips, and his room to develop those instincts to an even stronger height is something he can grow on into his senior season.
Micah Kracht Micah Kracht 6'3" | 210 lbs | ATH Markesan | 2023 State WI | RB | Markesan | 2023
Many of our PRZ scouts were in shock of Micah’s size and I was too, but he showed not just a powerful frame, but other skillsets I loved to watch. When it was time to roll into 1v1s, Micah used that significant size to get separation and paint a bigger window as far as his catch radius showed off. He showed an instinctive vertical that looked to be well-developed to go up and make a play on that football. When it came to time for his tape, Micah can be described as a downhill freight train when that ball is in his hands, as he showed a competitive motor as a downhill back. His burst developed substantially once he gets the ball, which means this young man has another level of speed when he puts on those pads for Friday nights. That ability I saw to adjust with his route-running also came out on tape. Micah holds D2 and light D1 interest at the moment, which I expect to see more once this young man gets on more college campuses for camps this summer.
Gabe Klatt | RB | Beaver Dam | 2024
Gabe was one of the most intriguing running backs I watched a handful on Saturday at the MOSH Performance Center. He showed that there is some abundant explosion in his lower body when he hit the broad jump as a top performer with a 10’3 which led the pack of running backs. His first play from scrimmage on tape, if you had to blink (like me the first time around) you would miss the massive durability Gabe has in his 6’0 200 pound frame. Gabe is another kid that has another level when it becomes game time in Beavers country, as I thought his burst showed more developed speed than we might have saw in the 40 from this 1st team All Conference and All-Region running back that had over 1800 yards and 18 touchdowns in just his sophomore season season. Look for Gabe to be a prospect that has a HUGE summer on the prospect camp circuit, as I love this young man’s potential to play on Saturdays. I can remember from my days of living in Wisconsin, another Beaver Dam RB prospect in R.J. Shelton, who had very similar size as Gabe, however Gabe has more time to develop even stronger in the weight room for the Beavers.
Sebastian Pimentel Sebastian Pimentel 6'2" | 190 lbs | LB Homestead | 2023 State WI | RB | Mequon Homestead | 2023
Sebastian was another sizeable running back that I was watching thoroughly on Saturday in Franklin at our Prep Redzone WI showcase. For coming in as a nearly 6’2 tailback, Sebastian showed a lot of fluidity in those hips of his especially when I watched him in Indy drills, where he blossomed well. Another skillset I caught from Sebastian on Saturday was his instinctive vision, as he showed a solid track on where he wanted to go with his run and hit it with some durable motion. He’s got some development into his senior season with his finished speed but the adjusting ability he showed in 1v1s, shows that he has turned a corner a bit since evaluating his tape from his sophomore season. Couldn’t find any recent tape, but a vibrant senior season should put this under the radar RB prospect on the map for sure.
Colton Brunell Colton Brunell 6'1" | 205 lbs | ATH Columbus | 2024 State WI | RB | Columbus | 2024
The RB Camp MVP and my SES MVP from earlier tonight, really showed a TON of consistency in the early testing sessions with his speed, explosiveness and his sizeable jerk in his hips. Colton certainly showed one of the most natural instincts in the entire facility in Franklin with just having a excellent understanding on where he needed to go to be success, rep after rep. If you believe Colton is a menace offensively, just wait until you read into his booming tape defensively. I couldn’t find a rep where this young man let up as far as his physicality goes as it’s easy to see what a natural athlete this young man is for the Columbus Cardinals on both sides of the ball as he also showed versatility from the linebacker spot. If I was a D1 college coach looking at my 2024 prospect list recruiting Wisconsin, I would certainly be circling Colton’s name as one I would want to get on campus ASAP because it won’t be long until this Columbus product starts gaining much more attention. I would love to see this kid in the red and white in the coming years for sure!
