Continue ReadingLouisiana is a hotbed for talent and college coaches are always vying to get into the state to recruit some of the nation’s best football players. Travel 7v7 starts during the quiet and dead period of the NCAA’s Football Bowl Subdivision and ends during the Evaluation Period. With the growth and expansion of travel 7v7 in Louisiana, we have witnessed an increase in the development of young talent in the state. DR Sportz- Dedication & Respect (DR7) became the top 7v7 Circuit during the spring of 2022 in just its first year of existence. Three of the Top 10 (14U) programs in the country came from the state of Louisiana. Those programs include the New Orleans Dolphins, Camp Moula Naturals, and 4th Quarter Mentality.
New Orleans Dolphins have been a youth tackle football program for 6 years that was started by New Orleans natives Arsenio Bolds Sr., Dwayne Dales, Tyrone Brooks, and Sean Terragano. These mentors operate with a mission of teaching life skills while playing the game of football. Also teaching athletes that come through their program of being respectful young men and being the best scholar in the classroom. The N.O. Dolphins came into the 7v7 scene during the spring of 2021 and in just year 2 they took the nation by storm with total domination of their opponents. The New Orleans Dolphins were clearly the #1 (14U) squad in the country during this circuit. The Dolphins compiled a record of 55-8 and won 5 Championships this spring. During DR7’s Battle of the H in Houston, the Dolphins set a record of 258 points scored with their quick strike offense. The Dolphins feature some of the best up and coming student-athletes. A few prospects in the Class of 2025 to keep an eye out for are DB Aresnio Bolds Jr. (Edna Karr), DB Fred Lewis Jr. (St. Augustine), DB Montez Randall (De La Salle), WR Nehemiah Philips (St. Augustine), WR Nuhan Lilan (John F. Kennedy), ATH Amyne Darensbourg (John F. Kennedy), CB Cody Morris (Edna Karr), and QB Mark Garrison (Warren Easton). Looking forward to seeing some of these young guys on the camp circuit especially one of the nation’s best young WR prospects Tahmaj Jackson of St. Augustine High School in New Orleans and QB Carl Reed Jr.
Camp Moula Naturals 7v7 Program in year 2 under the tutelage of world renowned sports performance trainer Ernest Harvey of Thibodaux, LA, have spring boarded into a national brand after winning multiple tournament trophies on several circuits. The Naturals tournament records in 2022 are 46-6-1 (15U) with 3 Championship trophies and 40-10-1 (14U) with another 3 Championship trophies. He has a factory of other up and coming Louisiana talent that we will see in years to come.

2025 QB Colton Morris Colton Morris 6'0" | 205 lbs | QB Loranger | 2025 State LA (Loranger)
Colton is coming off a huge spring. Colton is physically impressive for a young rising sophomore prospect who less than a month ago turned 15 years old. A few weeks ago he lead his 18U teammates to a championship trophy in the Gorilla Warfare Rumble In The Jungle 7v7 Tournament hosted at Southern University. On Saturday May 7, 2022, Morris participated in a star studded FBU Montgomery Camp and came away with All Camp Team honors and an invite to the prestigious FBU Top Gun Camp July 8-10 in Naples, FL. Colton was blessed with a rocket launcher on his shoulder. Colton is an amazing character student-athlete that with continued development and hard work will have an opportunity to play major Division I football. Offers should be coming soon.

Trey Fuller looks the part as a 6’2, 182 pound Freshmen. He dominated the 7v7 Circuit this spring making acrobatic catches over defenders and lining up on the hash at safety and picking passes off. This kid is tough as nails. Coming off a stellar FBU Montgomery Camp that came with a Top Gun invite in July, that momentum rolled over into spring ball with physically imposing plays at Safety for Captain Shreve. Trey picked up his first scholarship offer today from the historic HBCU program Grambling State University. The offer was extended by Coach John Simon Jr. who is one of the top recruiters in the country and has done an amazing job at each of his collegiate stops at identifying talent early in the state of Louisiana.

F3 Elite based out of Baton Rouge, LA have been around for 3 seasons. We want to give a shoutout to Coach Ken Anio and LSU Legend Rohan Davey for the job they have done growing F3 Elite into a national brand. F3 Elite bolstered the Top (15U) Program in the state in my opinion and has one of the top (18U) programs in the country with Team Juice. Team Juice has several Top 150 Prospects on its roster.
Some other programs on the rise to keep an eye for is Nola Hotboys, U ELITE, Academy Elite, Bottom Boys Elite, Randall Passing Academy, GrindTime, Kream Elite, Camp Hardy, 318 Hotboys, Jeremiah Gray’s (G-Sportz) Louisiana Elite.
